Finals Week 2 Discussion

Re: Finals Week 1 Discussion

You can tell Robinson is both proud and furious at the same time.

Souths vs Roosters will be an absolute belter.

I honestly could not think of 1 game I give less of a **** about than the Souths v Rorters game. I hope both sides destroy each other and the Panthers go on to win it all. I know some of their fans are absolute **** nuts but no team left alive deserves it more than them.

It's uncanny.

Cowboys were woeful for long portions of that game and really weren't going to do anything worthwhile in the finals. Yet they did ridiculously well to fight back and with a bit of luck came within inches of taking it.

JT No-Try was a 50/50 but it's hard to accept that decision after all the crap decisions they've had to cop over the years.

The worst part of it is..

Now facebook is going to be full of Cowboys fans sooking about the bad call...despite the fact they scored a try from a clear forward pass.

Let's just forget about that completely. It doesn't matter when the bad calls go their way..

How forward was Friend's pass to SBW on the No-Try?

Forget about SBW potentially losing the ball in his bid to get it down, that was a no-brainer but the refs rarely call 'em.

Even if Lui did knock-on (I think he tapped it back and it then went forward), SBW lost that ball cold! Ensuing set after PTB penalty Roosters field goal.

I think I'm rooting for Penrith now.

What an absolute shitfight of a finals series remaining. The 4 dirtiest teams vs the one team that has made it through the season quietly, admirably, and against all odds. Panthers, save the game from itself and just win the comp FFS.

The Thurston try was a correct no try IMO. The game, as usual, had a fuckton of missed this and missed that....but that last 10mins had everything going the Roosters way afaic. Scratch the potentially bad calls for the previous 70mins, when it counted everything went the ***** way.

In saying that, the Cows absolutely killed themselves in that opening 40.

Calling it now, it will be a Panthers V Souths GF.

It looks that way. Dogs aren't premiership material and the Sea Eagles are gloriously spilling their entrails by the minute.

On another note, I know it's Channel Nein's job to ask the questions everyone wants answered, but Thurston was trying so hard not to tell the game to crawl back up it's Sydney-centric, foul-smelling arse. For Gordie to lead with "First the Foran hand-of-God, then the 7th tackle try...", it was that close to entrapment that had Thurston lost it I reckon the fine should have been paid by Gyngell.

Yeah, I thought Gordie looked mildly uncomfortable asking tbh.

Yeah I also thought bringing that up was unprofessional, they were just fishing for a reaction.

Cowboys second try in the first half, on the back of a clear forward pass. You could argue an intentional forward pass.

Cowboys first try in the second half came from a repeat set after Morgan tackles Mini mid-air.

Scott's try. They should have checked that for a double movement. Frame by frame shows the ball clearly being grounded short of the line. His head is in the way, but it looks like he makes a second effort. I'll give them that one, though. Just because of the sheer effort to make it to the line.

Cowboys were robbed? No. They got bad calls that went their way which got them in a position to win. However, the final call was correct.

I've looked at it a million times, and that ball only went forward.

The SBW no try, that was a clear forward pass and it should have been Cowboys ball.

I'm trying to find the obstruction people keep talking about. Which minute was it?

The SBW penalty. I thought he lost it, but I can't blame the ref for giving the penalty. Linnett's hand was right there.

Tupou's try. That passed look a bit dubious. However, there are a lack of good angles in the replay and I can't see if the ball leaves the hands legally.

From intoxicated memory, Mini runs a decoy and SKD runs behind him and impedes a number of Cowboys defenders. It's in the last 10mins

What an absolutely unbelievable game and one that no one will forget I've never witnessed that before. Cowboys were unlucky again but they should be immensely proud of themselves. What a great player JT is without him they never would've got close.

HAHAHA at the brain dead idiots claiming conspiracy's with such short memories. Funny that they don't talk about how they scored off a forward pass and let in 30 points in the first 30 minutes. Thank you god for making me smarter then those idiots.

Roosters seriously shouldn't be bitching about forward passes.

Seriously...

It'd be like if Cam Smith got high and mighty about it. Come on now.
