How long will Sammy be crucified for a mistake he made when he was 21 I wonder.

Thank Goodness all the same embarrassing shameful decisions I made when I was 21 are long forgotten!
 
Personally I think Thaiday is your absolute best choice as captain.
I don't know that you have any other player that has the respect, and leadership qualities that he has. That isn't a bad thing, just saying as an opposition fan, I would perceive him as your next best option to lead them.

However my questions would be
Does he play 80 minutes every game?
Can he make correct tactical decisions?

For the second question it doesn't matter as much, as the trainers can assist him with this. He certainly seems a leader.

I do have some issue with forwards as captains, I think at Manly, naming King as captain was one of the silliest moves I have seen. Lyon is a clear leader, and has a lot or respect. However for mine I think the next captain for Manly would be Matt Ballin, that kid has a solid head on his shoulders and is great in the media.

Thaiday has a bit of character about him, and I like that in a captain.

Wallace would be the next best thing, but I don't think he has the personality for it from what I have seen
 
Just got an email from the NRL telling me to start planning my trip while talking up the fact that there's a corwd of "over 25,000" expected....

Is that supposed to get me excited that a Prelim Final is going to be just over half full?

Agree whole heartedly. Apart from Wallace. Lol. He's a blue. Never happen.

Thaiday is and always was the best option to replace Locky.

LOLZ. I can't wait for this game - half full gate or not - it will be interesting to see how many scummy Manly fans turn up.

Well just bought my tickets to the grand final :) Sitting with the Manly lunatics, luckily I don't have to pay unless we get past you guys tomorrow...pumped

Be happy you didn't have to pay. Unless you don't mind seeing Locky lift the trophee Sunday week! :rockon:
 
I am planning on going to the GF once it is confirmed the Broncos are in. Thinking about driving down with a few mates, would be an epic little road trip.

A bloke on Silvertails has sorted out a deal with the NRL and pre-booked a whole section of the stadium behind the goal posts, if we win tomorrow night then the credit cards get charged, if we don't then no harm done, and we don't pay for tickets.

A few other things tied in with it, like functions etc. You guys should see if you can nut something similar out.
