I liked what Ennis said on Sterlo.
He said that we have to respect the big 3 off the field, but give it to them onfield. That was the Sharks blueprint for their GF win.... belt Smith at every chance, run at him through tne middle and wear him out.

Also, ball security has to be at a premium ... no cheap turnovers in bad field position are we'll get smashed.

The Storm are certainly beatable, but we have to be almost flawless in our decision making and execution.

I agree with this 100%. Stuff them. They don't respect our players outside of origin, you can tell the way they play them on the field. The fact they are playing a testimonial in OUR city shows the lack of respect.

But I also think we lost something in the 6 years Bennett was away that other fans might say is a bad thing but it's what the storm have taken away from us.... arrogance... we are starting to get it back now but it will take a big win or 2 to get it back off the storm. We're the big club, you play for us you have made it in the nrl, we're the club everyone hates and we're the club that are at the top year after year. Start acting like that and the results will follow! I honestly think that's why Bennett has recruited a lot more nsw players then he used to. They don't have the "he's a legend but..." mentality with smith, slater, Cronk and Thurston. Jack bird in particular sticks it to them on the field, he actually got to them on the field in origins and the gf last year for that matter, and at the end of the day-the storm and the cowboys are constantly our stumbling block in a premiership the last 3 years because of our players love affair with their immortals

Tallis barracking for the Broncos. Bit of a surprise.

Bad omen number 1

This is ruby league anything cam happen. If the boys turn up with determination. With a mindset to kill or be killed, then we have a real chance. It will take a perfect game from all the boys. If i had any involvement that inches speach from any given sunday would be mandatory watching before the game. Each and everyone of our boys has to rip in for eachother. The only way to win on friday is with a team that trusts and works for eachother. I believe in our boys.

Bad omen number 2

Not confident like others but as I said in the post match, we have nothing to lose.

Get up in their face and see what happens.

I'd like to see us use Marshall at the end if we lead and its close. Let him direct it. As much as I'd like to see Milford and knik step up, I think I'd be happy to patiently wait until next season when they have a winning grand final under their belt. If our 4 halves (I don't remember a side ever with so many play makers) play to their potential and our forwards put in (which they have been), we should beat them.

I see we are close to $4 to win the game. We deserve to be underdogs but we are a much better chance of winning than $4.

You have to play fast and hard to beat the Storm, we have the team to do it. Plus, every man and his dog (clear affiliation with the Roosters) have written us off. We have no pressure on us, we have nothing to lose. We lose, who cares, everyone expects us to do so. We win though and we send shockwaves through our GF opponent. No reason to leave anything in the kit bag anymore, bring out all the plays and just be relentless.

I think if they break up the Melbourne Cheetah's spine they lose their rigid structure & Broncos can beat those [emoji90][emoji90] in purple. When Cameron Munster was off, Eels scored well because their structure was gone (as well as a man down). Broncos need to upset their players with niggle or good old fashioned sledging to get them to retaliate or be so bruising in their tackling so that they are forced to come off. If the Broncos show some mongrel I think it'll go a long way towards a win.

We've won 4 out of the last 23 v the storm. Market's correct iyam.

That said, will be having a crack at that price.

I am loving the massive under dogs tag we have for this game. It benefits us hugely. The media and the bookmakers are doing us big favours with it. I think we deserve to be under dogs (not to this degree though lol) but Brisbane being Brisbane normally people don't write us off completely like they are. This sure-thing status of the storm may get into their mentality...

Yes but the last three times in Melbourne we won two and lost the other on a ricochet.

I think we're being written off largely because of the hiding we copped in rd 17, but I think the media forget how close we came earlier in the year.

I can't fully remember rd 17 but I do remember we were beat up injury wise and the storm had rested the big 3 the week before. Basically it felt like an ambush was coming and storm didn't give a shit about the roosters the week earlier.

Interesting to look at the line ups below (apologies for formatting)... but on paper that is close to the worst team we've fielded all year. No Boyd, Milf or Oates. Basically 1 prop off the bench. Pearson and Mead on the wings. There's no wonder we got flogged.

Compare that to this week and we're basically fielding a full strength side and welcome back Boyd and TPJ (who should both be fully recovered with the extra week off)

1Jordan Kahu 1Billy Slater
21Jonus Pearson. 2Suliasi Vunivalu
3James Roberts. 3Will Chambers
4Tautau Moga. 20Curtis Scott
5David Mead. 5Josh Addo-Carr
6Benji Marshall. 6Cameron Munster
17Ben Hunt. 7Cooper Cronk
8Korbin Sims. 8Jesse Bromwich
9Andrew McCullough. 9Cameron Smith
10Adam Blair. 10Tim Glasby
14Alex Glenn. 11Felise Kaufusi
12Matt Gillett. 12Tohu Harris

11Sam Thaiday. 17Joe Stimson
15Tevita Pangai Junior. 18Mark Nicholls
18Joe Ofahengaue. 16Kenneath Bromwich

Watching a replay of the 2016 game down in Melbourne.

The commentators mentioned that we were flogged 48-6 earlier in the season, yet we showed up at AAMI park with plenty of enthusiasm and really put the Storm off their game.

I'm sure Wayne will be planning something similar this friday night.

Corey Oates currently the shortest priced player in the "Most try's scored in the Finals" market. Hasn't he only got 1? Addo-Carr has 2 already I think.
