Not sure if we can over come the Copley effect.

Sorry boys but you can't take 20 minutes to start playing and expect to win. 10 free points to start. If they get back from here it'll be the comeback to end all comebacks - 2006 anyone? All the forwards have to start playing like Sam, and someone has to organise the attack and stop thinking "where's Darren"?

We've done very well to fight back after the refs basically gave Manly two tries.

Hopefully they give us a better go in the second half. It's been ridiculous so far.

Te'o has been awesome since coming on. Parker and Thaiday have been strong too.
 
Oh poor Copley. Broncos don't know what they're doing for the most part. Really missing Locky.

given all that, it could've been a lot worse than 16-4
 
I agree Bull Shark, Manly have played all over us, but there is a glimmer. Manlys ball control has been unbelievable and it has been their defence causing us to panic somewhat. Still IF we can start getting some of those 50/50 calls and apply more pressure maybe we can claw back. I still think we need to score 4 more tries to be a chance of winning, which at this stage looks unlikely but stranger things have happened. Based on what I have seen so far I think it's a bridge too far but if we start playing a bit more direct and give our outside backs a bit more room, who knows, a missed tackle, an off load Manly might just start getting nervous. Sit back and enjoy watching the team play because it's a really long off season...
 
Woah. Didn't realize how sideways the manly play the ball was for Manlys first try.

To be fair to Copley, YY had a shocker in the 09 PF and is fairly good now.

Call me picky, But if the first try went to the video ref, Ballins was a double movement anyway.
