Given the form of some teams over the weekend who do we think?

1. Payten
2. Webster and Benji
3. Robbo

That's the way I'm leaning. I'd have AOB in there tbh but he seems to be untouchable and Ponga seems to save him every time. I can't split Benji and Webster...both are running out of good will and excuses IMO. Robbo, yeah they've lost some talent and the injuries to Walker and Cheese are unfortunate but letting a player like May go when you're already losing JWH is just baffling. Robbo has won 3 premierships though and has been in this position before and turned it around, not to mention those injuries, so I'd say he's the most unlikely.

For me the front runner has to be Payten. A few more performances like that on the weekend will likely see him gone at some point this season. Plus there's always been the rumblings behind the scenes...regardless of whether that stuff has been overblown or not, where there's smoke there's fire IMO.

All of that is dependent on who's available though. What's the point of punting a coach without a replacement lined up? Brad Arthur is coaching in the SL and Holbrook is assistant coach at the Roosters. Demetriou is coaching PNG only I think...I don't think he's an assistant anywhere. That's about it when it comes to coaches that have at least coached in the top grade. After that you're looking at the next "big thing" and none of those clubs should be looking at a rookie.

Kevvie says hi.

If the Roosters keep throwing up rubbish, don't be shocked if they can Robinson. He hasn't won in 6 years now and there isn't a stacked side anymore to make him look good. Unless the powerbrokers see some star juniors coming through who he can mould into future superstars they will make the change. Politis is as ruthless as they come.

Been waiting for Benji's dismissal since his wife insisted that he take 2 weeks off last season to go on vacay. Of course Benji is allowed to feel as tho family comes first as he told us all.. but seriously .. what coach takes off on an overseas holiday and just leaves his team .. doesn't deserve what he gets. He won't get dismissed until Luai wants him gone tho lol.

Fraud Payten for mine.

I’ve never once been convinced he’s a good coach, right from when he was at the warriors.

Part of me wants him to stay so the Cows stay shit, but I’d like to see him flame out too

The Tigers and professionalism don't go hand in hand for a reason. Benji is basically just another one of the glory boys from that fluke 05 grand final win getting rewarded. It wont be long till Luai figures out the guy has nothing to offer and starts making noise like Galvin did last year as well.

I have no doubt Kevvie will get another coaching job if he wants one ... and that's a pretty big IF. He's now 57, he finally got his dream coaching job and now has a pretty cushy gig at Fox Sports that likely pays well, with no stress

Kevvie says hi.

He might coach again...but not anytime soon I think. Meaning he's not in the frame for a job if one of these coaches gets the boot this season.

Wasn't like a one season break though? And in fairness, he hadn't achieve what Kevvie had.

Cool. Even if he did decide to coach again after a one season break though, it does rule him out of contention for jobs this year, right? Which is what I said in my post...

But Kevvie said he’ll coach again and he’s never said anything that didn’t prove true.

Hasn't Webster gone backwards?

He had the Warriors firing, made it to a prelim when nobody gave them a chance. Coach of the year.

Benji, you sort of expect it to take a bit of time given the garbage heap of a situation he walked into. Recruited a few decent players, I don't think this season is make or break but you'd expect to see some improvement from them.
