If Baker can replicate his performance against the Cowboys at Suncorp last year, will be happy to have him in the side.

I'm guessing he missed a ton of preseason with that kind of injury... unless he's a fitness monster then it's probably going to be hard for him to catch up to the rest of the squad.
I'm not sure he is a fitness freak only because there were a lot of times last year where he was looking seriously gassed and he wasn't even playing big minutes in NRL.
If Madge has faith in him maybe he stays on next year for a low deal... he's pretty much gotta rebuild a career at this point, so if a coach shows faith in him then he should be going to whoever that coach is.

However, to your last paragraph, he can do his Cinderella Story somewhere else, on someone else’s dollar. He’s one of the worst signings in the club’s history.

He is an ex rooster so there is the “playing against your old team who discarded you” factor. It might be the one game this year where he might reach minimum standard and have a reasonable 15 minutes. I’m not holding my breath though.

He appeared bigger last year than at the Roosters. My question is did the Broncs think him a prop and requested the kgs? Could explain the plantar problems.
Extra weight can be good for some and bad for others. I hate the Roosters so never really had a good look at him. But my Rooster mate was pissed he left and was surprised he was so shit for us.
Personally I am all for a redemption story. If Madge gets him right physically and he puts in and earns the right then give him a go. Hunt looked better than last year, so who knows.

OK @heartly87 and myself are calling it early. Baker to play second row and win MOM with two tries and 190 metres off 10 carries, 4 offloads and 90 post contact metres.
