So I am assuming they're not making public the conclusions drawn from the review?

Seriously, if we don't see a couple of top-end guys shifted on, the review will have been a farce.

The club is guilty of plenty of absolutely mind boggling and braindead decisions but, on the decision to not make anything public at least, I can say that in this instance that is probably the correct and professional thing to do.

More importantly, even if they did, the blame would be deflected.

My point earlier about the results being "released" was more about the details being leaked. The media outlets seem to have a great deal of knowledge about some of the sordid details that have gone on with other aspects of business that should have been private. Whether the articles are based on truth or not is irrelevant. So will we ever hear about this review? We heard nothing from the last one. So either the "leaks" are just people with big mouths who are too afraid to speak up about the board and management, or the board is being deliberately protected by the media. We've heard more from the few people here who do have some contact with the joint, but either they're not able to share, or are in the dark as much as anyone.

Either way, it doesn't look to me like the accountability we've been hearing of is going to be directed at anyone meaningful.

These pricks need to realise that the reason the broncos are where they are in the first place is because of the football on the field.

They are not some magical business gods that generated millions of sponsorship dollars from nothing. The performance on the field has led to the current level of performance off it and the sky high profits they currently see.

I’ve said this before but feel it needs to be said again, for all this talk in regards to the narrative about how good a job Paul White has done for the club from a business and financial point of view is a complete over exaggeration of his credentials.

Anyone with an inkling of business acumen could have generated the turnover and numbers that the club does currently with the status the Broncos still have in a one team rugby league dominated city that was a national brand long before White came in.

On field success and the famous Broncos brand pretty much makes the marketing and business side of things bread and butter compared to looking after the finances of other sporting teams.

If you wanted a better reflection of how good a CEO Paul White is, a better test of his credentials would be to see if he could continue to generate a high turnover and maximise revenue in future years now that the brand has copped a battering and our on field success has completely diminished.

You could have put any other of the 15 CEO’s of rival teams in White’s position and they would have matched those figures without breaking a sweat. Let’s stop pretending like we were a broke and struggling club and White came in with a magic wand and fixed it all.

His legacy is that of just continuing to ride financially on the coattails of the club that was already in a very good position and then jumping ship when the going will actually get tough now for the CEO and at a time where the CEO of the Brisbane Broncos will actually really earn their money now. The football department which actually has a huge bearing and is almost directly proportional to a clubs finances also fell apart under his watch. He should not be revered for simply just doing a job he is paid to do.

With talk of a second Brisbane team coming to the NRL it is very bad timing from an investor point of view to have a disillusioned fan base.

If the answer is no, then I refuse to believe he just took on the job and accepted zero control at the same time. **** that. If anything, they've lured him into signing a contract without him reading the small print.
