MOTORSPORTS Formula 1

Haha he seemed high most of the weekend in the post-session pressers so in race checks out too I guess.

Something that should be noted for this season soo far, Piastri has had the best race pace of both Mclarens in every race thus far, a huge improvement this year and he tends to be really fast in the Euro races as he has alot more expereince there, if he can improve his qualifying I think the title is his to lose.

Bahrain will be a big test. Previously he struggled with managing his tyres, and the bahrain track and heat will eat through his tyres.

He just really needs to start getting Norris in qualifying as that is the only way he would get any favourable call from mclaren.

Wish mclaren would just let them race though.

Piastri doesn't have issues with the tyres I don't think anymore, in the last two dry races he had an advantage there, it's soo close in qualifying this year, like at suzuka, Piastri stuffed the first sector by 3 tenths and got the two fastest sectors after and got 3rd.

Bahrain is much more passable, if he has a pace advantage in the race he should still be able to pass, he did have a late race pace advantage at Suzuka with a lap older tyres which to me says alot.

Piastri is in it up to his eyeballs and that’s exciting. He looks like he’s becoming more ruthless too. Let’s just hope this race is more exciting than Japan and it should be.

Looking like a potential 2 pitstop race which always makes the strategy a little bit different. The issue there is McLaren's strategy usually ****s over piastri so that is a concern.

Piastri has to qualify ahead of Lando, its a must to get priority.

P1 dudes!!!! Would have liked Lando to qualify a bit closer though

Why? Norris is Piastri's main championship challenger along with Max and they are both going to need to do some work to get through the field. This works well for Piastri to get pit preference and pull away.

In the slight hope that the team will back Oscar in this race because he's clearly faster? Having Norris a little closer might have helped hold up other drivers and give Oscar a bit of clear air.

Fair enough, though they have freedom to race, so not sure Norris would do too much holding up for Oscar.

a good T1 here and it's Oscars to lose, he really can win the WDC this year he seems to have made a huge leap in all areas.

Leclerc was a sitting duck on the mediums. Interesting they've gone both drivers on mediums not one of each

Lando getting a penalty. Out of the box for the start

Great win, Oscar has to be favourite this year, he has an advantage over norris this year.

Yeah Piastri definitely looks in the zone now, he's levelled up for sure.

On the coverage, pretty poor not to show him crossing the line. The technology was clearly struggling everywhere during the race to be fair though I suppose.

The commentators made a good point though, if not for the terribly timed rain in Aus ironically, Piastri would be a fair way clear in first which is pretty indicative of how strong he's been this year.
