MOTORSPORTS Formula 1

Max with a nice, long post-race interview. Continues to prove himself such a likeable young man.
Still, you don’t get to be where he is without ego and arrogance. Well done, Piastri and also well done to Chuck the Clerk.

My sister likes him lol. Also likes Oscar though, so there's that. I absolutely respect the guys driving ability but liking him is a completely different thing.

I’ve been on Red Bull since the Webber days and love Max. He’s an out and out aggressive driver who’s in it to win it. Easily the best driver in the paddock the last few years. Having said that, how can you not back the Aussie? Oscar is improving at a rate of knots and looks a certainty to be number one before too long.

Don't say I Didn't tell you but what Piastri did at Abu Dhabi last year is why Max didn't approach T1 at Saudi more aggressive and tried to bump wheels, Max is definitely more cautious of Oscar than Norris after that.

He knows the Aussie doesn't back down no matter what, even if he looks harmless outside racing, there is a ruthless savage underneath that helmet.

What an effort by Antonelli in SQ. Looks like we are in for a good weekend

Yeah you can see why he is so highly rated, he’s been getting better and better. Seems a really likeable kid too.

Norris is flying, Piastri hopefully managing and not struggling

The kid has arrived! Interesting to hear him say he was actually struggling and not managing the hard tyres. I'm not sure if he is foxing but he seems to be pretty honest. The championship is clearly his for the taking now, pretty exciting.

Thank God it's Oscar in a McLaren so we probably don't care, but McLaren being 40secs basically ahead of 3rd doesn't bode well for an exciting season. It's Oscars to lose

It hasn’t been this way on every track though.

Sure, but they're also 1 and 2 even on tracks not perfectly suited to them.

Gotta be a tyre heat thing, because on the hot tracks they have absolutely dominated like today.

If they streak away even more, teams are just going to turn focus to 26.

True but good on McLaren for not only catching Red Bull but going beyond them.

It certainly helps to have an Aussie driver benefitting of course.

That's a shame but not surprising, he isn't performing. Still not sure what Lawson has done to earn such a long shot.
They didn't help Lawson by not giving him doing the full pre season with the RB which he should have been with Yuki at Redbull, the whole thing is run by idiots tbh.

Redbull will struggle to get cream of the crop young talent with bs like this in the future, and if Max leaves I can easily see the team turning to crap especially since Newey the best designer argubly in F1 history gone to Aston, I see the team entering a decline period.

Oscar quickest in FP1 and FP2. FP3 about to start with quali later tonight.

Looks like we could be in for another good race weekend

Yindeed. He wins here, it is going to be hard for anyone to catch him. Too much confidence.
