England didn't take the kick because I think it would've been pointless to draw or something. I don't know the whole ladder situation but that sure was an enjoyable game to watch.

Australia: 1-1 F/A: -14
Samoa: 0-2 F/A: -8

So Australia just has to win or draw.

Samoa just has to win by 9+

I wonder how they determine points?

Say if England won by 9, would NZ go through based on superior totals or?
