Gallen wants OUT of Sharks

And he can think himself lucky they didn't just sack him.

Gallen, go to Super League if you can get a work visa and don't come back.

Broncos would love to talk to Gallen

"Brisbane have signalled their interest in Cronulla enforcer Paul Gallen amid speculation the Test forward is unhappy and wants out of the Sharks next season"

If he does sign up with the Broncos, I won't be supporting Brisbane.

Sounds exactly the same as when Bird was looking for a club.

*face palm* While he's not as morally bankrupt as Greg Bird, he's still a douche and one of those wankers that mistakes being cheap for being tough.

He's strong physically but he aint tough - people think he's tough because he likes to get up in people's faces and slap them around a bit. Rubbish.

He's meant to be the QLD public enemy no.1 - pity he's so crap in origin...

My most hated player but he would be OK in our forward pack but NO WAY in the world worth the price he would ask IMO. I'd take him for 150k but that is not going to happen.

I had a feeling Ivan would say he'd "love to talk to" Gallen. We're the new Rugby Union.

Does anyone else think that this is just a great strategy on the Broncos' part to bid up the price of these players so they fill up more of another team's salary cap?

I really hope so.

I think Ivan just wants to get a player to sign, and maybe doing this he is thinking he is pushing Bruno to hurry up and do something.

Hell yeah. Gallen in our forward pack would do wonders. I'll be cheering if we get him and even if we don't us competing for him means other clubs need to pay more, either way I'm happy.

No one has said we are chasing him. Just because Henjack says he would like a chat, it means squat.

He may be crap in Origin but he's very strong at club level. Personally I think he would offer a lot on the football field and has a type of game that we don't have available to us now that Taylor is gone.

However, his off-field qualities (or there lack of) probably prohibit him from offering us much value, particularly given the number of young forwards we have around.

I would fkn love him to play for Brisbane, he's a gun. Doesn't mean I want to be his mate or I take my moral cues from him. And tell me any one of you would not be furious at getting fined TEN THOUSAND FRIGGING DOLLARS for taking a leak.

He didn't get fined that amount for just taking a leak(anyone can do that if they do it in the proper fashion without get fined for it, funny that) and even if he did he has his himself to blame for it no one held a gun to his head and said leak in public or else. He got it because his commited other offences while being at that club, the club has a responsibility to make sure its players get the message that offences on and off the field can not be tolerated and he should consider himself lucky the club suspended half the amount of that fine cause it could have been FAR worse for him, for example being SACKED like other players have been.

One of the offences was calling someone a black _unt after he was called a white _unt.

It's ok for to be called a white _unt but not a black one.

Where did I ever say it was ok to say either? Besides he was intentionally doing so and that cannot be justified in any sake. Theres no justification for it mate and when you have a profile like he does in the game for his club and in public he has a responsibility to demonstrate certain standards, like it or not, even more so when your CAPTAIN at the time of those offences.
