ALEX Glenn is out of next month’s Four Nations tournament after undergoing shoulder surgery this morning.

Glenn’s hopes of representing the Kiwis again were dashed by an operation to repair a painful shoulder injury he carried through the latter parts of the 2016 NRL season.
Glenn has had an acromioclavicular joint (AC joint) stabilisation to repair some damage where the shoulder joins the collarbone.
While Glenn will be disappointed at missing out on the Four Nations tilt, the good news is the operation should not cost him any time next season.
Broncos’ High Performance Manager Jeremy Hickmans said if all goes as expected with Glenn’s rehabilitation, the international back rower will be ready to go for the first matches of season 2017.
“It is a three-to-four month recovery for an operation of this sort,” said Hickmans.
“That means he would be available in the first few weeks of the trials, so he shouldn’t miss any time from games there.”

Probably wouldn't have made it, NZ have a high quality back row. Pretty disappointed for him that he won't get a full off season. I was hoping he would be out #13 next year which would mean bulking up or atleast maintaining his current size (he looks the biggest ive seen him) which will be hard while recovering from shoulder injury.

He still ran hard and hit hard even with this injury. Legend in my eyes.

He would have definitely made it. He was really good at the backend of the season, a revelation off the bench really and let's not forget who the NZ coach is/was, that would still have a pull on selections, especially since Glenn is very experienced and still young enough.

Glenn would definitely do a good job for NZ. But Proctor, Harris, Mannering and Taumalolo are all walk ins. Eastwood is always there, then there is Tapau, Brown, Mau etc. Glenn would have had his work cut out for himself.

On another note Kahu and Blair made the NZ Squad.

He has that utility value that the kiwis love
