Greatest Game Ever (with video)

yeah its possible that he couldve been even better.

but i think all the years spent at FB made him better, as it allowed him to hone his skills without having spent 10 years making 30 tackles a match. chucking him straight in to 20-30 tackles a game, i dont think he would be as good or wouldve had the longevity that we've seen from him.

Even though Locky's amazingness was seen in his 20's... as AP you have mentioned.. you cannot ignore his work in the no. 6 as well... its disrepectful! Some of the things he did at 1 was just pure class... but at 6 he's just WON games... like literally WON games through his kicking game, his execution of the game plan, his control of the game, his decisions etc etc. I can't say he did this at FB.

(And that itself is arguably just as beautiful to watch)

Agree Prof. Since 2006 he's been winning games with his brain. At fullback he was winning games with his own physical ability. I think his performances at 5/8 have been every bit as impressive as his fullback days, but in different ways.

That was the best game ever, all I remember from that night was going to a party with my Broncos Jersey on and some douche telling me to get over it?? About how good the win was. I pissed on him..[/quote]

I cant believe no one has noticed this yet.

EPIC game! I think most of our tries went to the video ref as well "nothin suss"

Lockyer's finest moment was the test match in England where he was MOTM , set up a try to win us the game from deep in our half on the siren with Luke Ricketson getting over in the end. That was his finest hour of many.

I go for his performance in the first half of the Tri-Nations Final when we put 38 points on GB as his finest hour. I have never seen a more perfect half of football in my life.

He gained my 'fav player' status as an FB but definitely gained my respect through 5/8. What he has done in the 6 jumper has to be recognised. A unique player in an unique situation where both positions must be honoured IMO. You really do forget HOW good he was at FB... when I watched the 2001 Origin highlights I was like... WOW the memories... one can imagine some great highlights in Broncos colours as well... pity those old tapes will only be in the memory banks for us fans... =(

I tell you what the Broncos vs Canberra game in 1990 would have been an outstanding game to attend, both these teams played an exciting brand of football and it really showed in this game and you could just see the talent coming through the ranks at the Broncos that would take us to premierships to come. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S5eJRiEc3hY
