Isn't it funny how the 2 blokes NSW have jizzed over on the past 10 years (Hayne and Johns), have never really dominated at Origin level. Compare this to Lockyer and Lewis

Johns did dominate at Origin level. Not for as long as Lewis, Langer or Lockyer, but he still stamped his authority in that arena in a handful of games.

In a couple of games maybe, but you could hardly say he dominated games at origin level. I remember even Johns himself saying he was dissapointed he hadn't dominated origin footy to the level people expetced him too

Honestly the article is a joke and it is embarrassing to compare him to any of the great players at the moment. Credit where credit is due and I'm no Hayne hater - he's a gun player and an excitement in today's game. However from what I can see, at the moment he's just a brilliant athlete who plays instinctively and produces some flashy footy. It's good stuff. If he keeps it up for 10 years he will be known as one of the most exciting players of all time and will probably go down as a freakish player.

However comparing him to some of the game's greats?!

Seriously, it's embarrassing. This guy plays a handful of good games across 2 seasons and he gets compared to some of the greats. Don't get me wrong, when Hayne dominates a game, he really does DOMINATE a game. He is sensational. BUT he does it for 8-9 games a year and goes MIA for the rest of them.

One of the greatest things about Wally, Lockyer etc is they've always been able to dominate at the highest level and do it consistently over many years. That's what makes a great player. It's pretty tough to be consistently good year after year after year, but the players that do it are the real greats of our game.

Hayne has a long way to go. A LONG way.

I thought you were one of the ones that thought he shat lumps of Gold.



This bloke is a fucking pretender. He has potential at best. Everyone south of the border seems to think he is god's gift to football. A handful of games doesn't prove talent. Consistency proves it.
