Looks like Hodges is thankfully only missing 2-3 weeks. Either way he wasn't going to play for the Broncos if he wasn't injured in those 2-3 weeks due to origin, so whatever.
On the other hand, his injury prone body however is becoming a bit of a joke. He is such a good player, but as a club it just is not feasible to always have him injured. I'm happy he extended his contract, but it should have been for much less then the reported $1 mill over 3 years. Hodges should be showing the club loyalty for sticking by him through all these injuries, not the Broncos showing him further loyalty by giving him $330k + a year to play <10-15 games a year if lucky.
I say Hodges is also at fault for costing us that game last night. We played atrocious in the second half, but it could have been different if we did not have to move players around to due to his injury. We played hopeless also in the first half but we had two lucky tries towards the end of the half and coming into a second half 12-10 down is not that bad a predicament. But as we all saw, Norman is a hopeless fullback, and Beale and co got exposed due to positional switches. I'm not saying it was entirely his fault, but his injury had a effect on it, not just positionally but also psychologically - you can just imagine how the players feel; I for one would be livid at how often he gets injured (not that it's his own fault or anything) but it would be frustrating.

I'm not saying we would've won and I'm not saying his injury is WHY we lost the game. I'm stating it impacted the structure of the team - which is clear, Norman fullback, Beale covering both centre/hooker etc.
We were crap all first half and only behind by 2 points, anything could have happened in the second half. Like we all saw last night, we all thought it was going to be an easy game and we got humiliated.
Who's to say if Hodges wasn't injured the game wouldn't have been closer then what it actually was.

I personally blame brisbane's coachign staff for Hodges injury. If there is one guy you don't want playing on Friday the 13th, with a full moon and all the planets aligning, it's Justin Hodges.

I agree with the first sentence totally, but the second line is starting to wear thin. The teams we play are always crap, and if we played a decent one we wouln't have won, blah blah...Kaz said:

I know the Panthers were on their game & deserved to win, they really should have won by more.
And it wasn't because of our defence, it was because of the Panthers stuffing up.
