We should get rid of Beale honestly he doesn't offer much. I think Gagai deserves another chance.

Gagai looks so out of sync it's not funny. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he can't keep up with his body growing.

Anyway.. Get hodges back. When he's fit he's been our best weapon for years. Anyone who doesn't want to sign him (regardless of price) is just posting shite cos they have nothing better to do

I agree that Hodges needs to take a paycut if he wants to stay. Since he came back in 05, he's been playing, what, less than half a season on average? So effectively we are paying him to do less than half the work of a regular player.

What's MacDougall on?

Hodges should be on that kind of cash.

I think Hodges is probably a better player than MacDougall. That's a pretty mean comparison.

Since we seem to be perfectly happy sitting well below the cap for the last 2 years, no needs to give him a pay cut. Might as well give him a raise if he can start putting some games together.

Well they do play the same amount of games not to mention I think Mad Dog is one of the game's underated players.

There is no competition what are you talking about, Hodges on his day shits all over the 35 year old.
Mad Dog isn't a bad player but right now if Hodges is back and fit(fingers crossed he plays 20+ games this year!) then there is no comparison between the two.

Of course, key two words though, on his day.

Most days he's coming back from an injury and who knows what kind of player Hodges is after the achillies injury.

Yeah fair enough I guess. IMO he'll still be a huge part our team this year if he gets back on the field fit and healthy.

I wouldn't be offering him another contract. He's too old, one of the most injury prone players of the last decade, and is eating up a sizable chunk of the salary cap.

Shouldve offloaded him last year when the injury happened and gone hard after another centre.
I beg to differ.
I hope he gets another contract :D

A quote from the legend himself.
"I haven't really thought about rep football to be honest, just getting back on the field with Brisbane has been my main focus and always will be," Hodges told AAP after Brisbane chalked up their seventh-straight win over Canterbury on Friday night.

"This is my sixth game in a row which is probably an all-time record for me.

"I'm enjoying it and I'm back loving footy again and playing with my mates."
[icon_lol1. Hodges :D :D :D :D :D :D .

They'll probably get one of those Melbourne style banners for him to run through when he gets 10 in a row.

He'll probably break his back walking through it though. eusa_think
