I hate Monday Night Footy

I think leave the points as is. It's just going to confuse people. 2 for a win after golden try FTW.

Why will it confuse people? It's not that hard to understand. Just make the ladder include extra columns for GP Win and GP Loss.

Just go back to a draw after 80 mins.

This.

To add to this, how stupid is it if there's a draw after 90 minutes?? It's either golden point or it isn't, having a draw after 90 is bloody stupid.

Exactly. why not just make all games 90 minutes long then a draw if its still a tie lol

Because then all of these professional athletes and Wayne Bennett would whinge about how tired they are at the end of the season.

Lame. Just make it golden try.

If they absolutely have to have a team win the game, I reckon golden try would be much better than golden point.

In golden point, if you get to within 40m out, anyone can pot a field goal and that's it. What a shitty way to decide a game. At least some semblance of skill/tactics is needed to score a try, as opposed to making as many metres as you can, getting to the centre of the field and drop-kicking the ball.

I don't get the need to split teams after 80 minutes in non semi final matches, extra time in general is dumb in regular season matches.

Am I the only person who finds golden point/extra time exciting?

I definitely think it should be golden try though but I think golden try/point is pretty exciting and entertaining to watch so I don't think we should get rid of it all together.

Agree that golden point is exciting but i dont thin k it is neccessary. If we are to have some form of then make it golden try i guess. A field goal will still win it for you at the end of the ten minutes but then youd have to decide whether when in position to go for the try (and instant win) or safety and go ahead by the one point.
