I hate Monday Night Footy

I don't have Foxtel but I hate Monday night football way more than Saturday night, and I can't watch either (apart from a dodgy internet feed). Monday night just doesn't feel right.

I know we didnt deserve to win but i hope we have had all our last minute losses for the season now. Two last minute losses in three games is heart breaking :mad:

It's made for TV. In that regard I love it. I had to skip last night though due to uni which was unlucky.

I like that they review the game immediately after, something we don't always get to see in Brisbane for Friday night games played featuring the Broncos. Usually have to wait until after the second game for coaches comments etc. Pretty hard for families to get to though, hence the average crowd to what what have drawn 30k+ on a Friday or Sunday arvo.

I like MNF. Some footy after a hard day's work is just what the doctor ordered. 7pm is a little awkward but it does mean an earlier finish.

I hate MNF because I CBF watching it because it's Monday! We're pretty lucky that there's not a lot of live MNF at Suncorp because it's too much effort to get to and from the footy on a Monday night. Plus, it's worse when your team loses. Kinda ruins your week.

I've said it before, I don't mind if it stays, but it has to change.

Either Golden Try (and how about Will Tupou's try for the Cowboys on the weekend? One of the best individual tries I've seen this year, and given the circumstances...wow!), or restructure match points.

eg:

Win in regular time: 4 points
Win in golden point: 3 points
Draw: 2 points
Loss in golden point: 1 point
Loss in rgular time: 0 points

That way there's some reward for a) winning in 80 minutes and b) not losing in 80 minutes!
