We have gone through an Origin period undefeated in the past.

It's great that we have gone through this Origin period undefeated, it's been a very long time. I never expected it.

It's been the Broncos best performance during an Origin period since 1999, where they took their worst season and turned it into the basis of their 2000 success.

Brisbane have had similar success around the Origin period (2003, 2005 and 2007 come straight to mind) but they were never undefeated during those years.

No, it's not. But there will be additional comfort to be taken when things become a mathematical certainty. I looked at the final ladders from the past decade last week and it seems that you need:
- 9 wins to be guaranteed to not get the spoon
- 13 wins to be guaranteed top 8
- 16 wins to be guaranteed top 4

The required amount of wins for top 2 too variable for there to be a predictive figure.

For the eternal optimists the worst record to make the 8 was 11-13 (Us) and the worst record to make the top 4 was 14-10 (Also us, with 3 others filling spots 3-6).
