Was that sarcasm, surely you understood what that meant?
179 tries 51 MORE THAN Terry Lamb's 123 who is the 2nd highest scorer for the dogs.

Are you serious?

What's 123 + 51?
Well 179 is CLUB tries, he has 51 more CLUB tries than terry lamb in club tries, Terry lamb has 123 FIRST GRADE tries.

Let's make this simple.

123 + 51 = 174

And the Bulldogs page for El Masri says 180 tries.

Ok well I think it was worded wrong, I think it meant to say 51 more than Terry Lamb's CLUB tries.
Hazem has 144 FG tries, 174 or 180 as you say are club tries, I don't know how many club tries Terry lamb has, but I assume it's 51 less.

El Masri is an average winger at best. He brings nothing to the table physically besides the fact he kicks goals, and he isn't even the best at that anymore!

Top bloke, but he's past it.
He kicked over 80% again last year, so I don't know how you think he's not even the best at that anymore.
He was in a wooden spoon team last year, ofcourse he couldn't top the point scoring agian he still came 7 or 9th though.

LOLZ at some people.

Like him or not, El Masri has been one of the better NRL wingers for the majority of the 2000's. Also LOLZ at the comments referencing "he's no Falou"...hell nobody is, which is why Broncos threw so much $$$ at Falou.

El Masri has always been an above average winger, the best goal kicker in the comp hands down and an all round solid player. In fact, his inability to "be brilliant" or whatever you guys want to call it, can very easily be likened to De Vere. Guys like this is what clubs are built on.

@ Nashy; there was bound to be one, why you got to be that guy? You simply lower your own (recently) high standards.
YAY someone who realises you don't have to take bombs like israel falou to be considered a good player.
Then again hammo, Average players get 145 tries and 292 games. He is by no means a brilliant player but over his career one of the better wingers who is consistent.

AND LOLZ at someone saying because of his religion I support him........ LOLOL I support him the same reason I support other league players I like him, and maybe just maybe he's a better bloke then most other players off the field to?

BTW He made city origin 5 times, Played for australia in 2002 and NSW in 2007(and killed it) and Lebanon in 2000.

I didn't mean the religion thing as an insult, 'so don't take it that way.

However, ever since he refused to give a saliva swab when the police were investigating what happened at Coffs, I have disrespected him.

Pulling a religion card like that, when not only your team needs it, but the police, and your fans need it is just weak. I would love for him, or someone to show me where it states that no muslim shall give a DNA Saliva Swab.

He is married, he is with his wife at home they knew that, he knew that. It's not a religion thing, it's a moral thing they were out drinking, he does not drink, nor does he sleep with girls in cubicles, he has only slept with his wife, so it was out of the question especially considering that night he was with his wife not hanging with the boys.
If you played for some local team, and they were invovled in some gang rape allegations, you were at home that night how would you like it if you got dragged into it simply because you were in that team?

This is some of the funniest shit I've ever read! LOLZ

MATHS FAIL!

If you DON'T know how many club tries Lamb has scored don't talk about it.
However, if you DO know El Masri has scored 51 more club tries than Lamb, and you know how many club tries El Masri scored, then you can deduce what Lamb scored.

It seems you have First Grade tries for both El Masri and Lamb, why not compare that? 144 for El Masri, 123 for Lamb = 18 more for El Masri.

Given El Masri is a winger and Lamb a five-eighth, I don't think it's a fair comparison anyway! But hey, keep loving El Masri, that's all good, you're entitled to!

How did he save his reputation? How would giving a swab have ruined it. The police made it quite clear they wanted swabs from the whole sqaud, and were certainly not blaming all of them.

Just because his wife stated he was at home, doesn't mean the police should take it as truth.

He doesn't drink, he's hardly if at all been out with the team when they go out for a "drink" pretty much anyone who knows him knows that, they were out drinking and basically sleeping with chicks, he's never invovled in that and if anything he has a right to be angry for him being suspected of doing that. He shouldn't have to prove himself innocent when he has doen nothing wrong and wasn't even at the scene, like last years broncos incident, I doubt for example hannat, or say if it happens when falou is here, would be very happy if they get dragged in and have to prove themselves innocent when they weren't even out with the boys but get accused anyway because they were in the same team.

Did a quick search on terry lamb, apparently he only played first grade so his fg tries are his club tries which means that sentence i s totally wrong.
Back to topic
a) Terry lamb is one of the best players if not the best to play for the dogs, and was in top 100 players of the century.
b) Terry lamb has played more first grade games than anyone else in history, 57 more than hazem to be specific.
c) How many wingers who have ever played rugby league have more tries than hazem?
d) Hazem is a champion bloke off the field.
e) Why wouldn't I like him? I admire what he has done and what he has achievied especially considering how he grew up.
One of the Bulldogs greatest ever players - That is the first line in his biography written by the club on his profile at http://www.bulldogs.com.au

I have followed his career closelsy and watch almost every game of his, He has been one of the better wingers in the NRL for the major part of his career, 1998-2006, dropped off in 2007 was still ok, but pretty poor in 2008 and I don't expect any better this year.
He has also averaged 10 Points per game since he started kicking, so he is also very valubale to the team he played in.

Ken Irvine - 212
Steve Menzies - 180
Andrew Ettingshausen - 165
Terry Lamb - 164 (123 bulldogs tries)
Matt Sing - 159
Bob Fulton - 147
Hazem El Masri - 145

There we go found the all time top try scorers list.
He will almost certainly finish 6th out of how many players in the history of the game? No crap or average winger gets that many tries, sure he may just fall over as you say, but the way he positions himselves for tries is what makes such a great try scorer, his combination with his halfback is one of the best halfback/winger combinations i've seen in a long time.

saw Hazem today while i was workng at the stadium. the rest of the guys finished training and he stays out for an extra hour or so. he does put in the hours to get where he has, so i cant knock him for that, if he had more size he would be a better player.

Side note Ennis was kicking too for a while so who knows what will happen once he reaches his achievment

Congrats hazem you champion, you have got the record, highest point scorer in the history or rugby league and only kicked his first goal after 100 first grade games. What a champion, kicked 7/7 tonight for 14 point tally in rainy conditions and some from the sideline.

The record could not of been broken by a nice bloke, a great role model and a bulldogs legend.

Congratulations Hazem. Well done. Champion! [eusa_clap.gi [eusa_clap.gi

Agree broncospwn, he is one of the nicest guys in the league. His team mates respect that he does not drink or he feels the need to go out with the boys at any time. Pity there were not more in the game like this guy.

Congrats to Hazim and agree with others - what a great bloke. Hazim is the type of guy that the NRL should be using to be the face of their game. Nice guy, stays out of trouble, has never been the flashiest or greatest player but works hard with what he's got and the results have come. Well done Hazim!!!

You spelt Hazem wrong - three times! [icon_razz1
