Q-CUP Intrust Super Cup 2019

Vete is the more likely option maybe but I just think Neale will definitely be there.

They're not with anyone but Ipswich.

Psaltis has old mate Luke Page starting at prop for his team, not a fan?

Mmm, that's interesting. Thanks. It makes me wonder though, you'd have them as your first choice which I gather means you'd rate them at the top here in Qld yet they aren't ever going to be able to step up if no NRL club has them signed. It just sounds like they should be close and have the NRL dream in mind or at least an achievable goal.

Could do with more Seagulls.

Few surprises in the side, How does any Dolphin make it? Surprised by the wingers mostly.

It reads like old fashioned favouritisim towards the full-time contracted players.

Speaking of which, the Broncos are having a shocker of a week.

Tweed Heads flogged Norths 36-8

Burleigh smacked the Dolphins 48-0

And the Falcons are making an embarrassment out of the Magpies 60-0 with time still left on the clock.

Wynnum is the last hope and they've got a tall order against the Tigers.

Perese makes it as a winger despite being bog average and playing centre all year. Favouritism to the Broncos much?

I dont see it either. Reddy have been absolutely awful this year. Keep saying it, but they just havent recovered from losing so many players from their premiership winning side on top of losing Cullen through injury. Mogg wont have a job soon the way things are going. They havent recruited well at all.

Speaking of Mogg, is he still available for QLD?

Wynnum are going good this year. They won today. I was hoping to get along to the game but had a minor emergency instead. At least Scarlett seems to deserve a spot in that team but definitely dissappointing selections in there.

The Gulls have really turned a corner this year, I'm just genuinely disappointed Big Pat isn't amongst it.

Great second half comeback today, I thought that try on half-time may have sunk them.

Three changed already to the Queensland team.

Hey mate, any idea why most of the Falcons guys were pulled out of the side?

Storm wanted training guys.
I get that they've got to put their interests first and I don't doubt the Broncos would do the same, but it does seem a bit harsh to pull them out of a Rep fixture just so they can train as practice for the NRL squad guys.

Since the Interstate Championship has come back the last few years I've really enjoyed watching the Queensland Cup guys go up against their NSW counterparts on Grand Final day and I really feel like the Residents game only adds to that rivalry (it's a bit like their State of Origin) and is great for generating interest in second tier footy in general so it would be nice to see the best players being made available and the fixture being given a bit more respect from the NRL and the clubs.

It sounds like I'm picking on Melbourne but honestly they've been more than happy to use this competition to source and incubate developing talent for several years now but when the time comes for the QRL and the competition in general to showcase itself they've chosen to pull their guys from the team.
