NEWS Isaako eyes big switch

No one has an issue with bagging anyone, there is plenty of blame to go around for last season and the players mentioned and Seibs can all share it. It is the spamming of the one point by the one poster in every fucking thread on close to every page.

You dont think there is spamming of a point about Boyd? Its just as constant. I'm not sure why people just cant accept everybody isnt going to think the same or have the same opinion.

I guess the truth hurts??? Believe it or not, the coach is relevant to most topics in most threads.

It's a shit point anyway. No amount of poor coaching can unteach a player how to catch. Far more likely the going ons in his personal life are at the core of his poor form, but broncsgoat knew that. He just got all wide eyed when he saw another oppurtunity to bag the 2018 coach of the year.

I'm with you on this one. Spamming threads and repeating yourself about Milford, Seibold, Boyd, Bennett etc. isn't on and members should be punished equally.

I'm happy to give Isaako a go at fullback. He will hopefully have to catch less bombs, his kick returns will be good. Just needs to work on his ball playing all off season. He was easily our worst player this season so it should be his last chance and hopefully he steps up.

So he literally is Hoffman
I'd say he's a fitter but less skillful version of Kahu.

Hoffman was more of a throwback with too low a ceiling to match it with the best.

It puzzles me why some people disliked Hoffman so much. Sure he was pretty hopeless as a 6 but I thought he was very good for us at fullback. The only part of his game I would criticise would be his passing game or lack thereof. Everything else he did I felt was pretty first class. I have some good memories of Hoffman's time spent with us.

If we play Isaako at fullback then our wingers may as well not bother practicing receiving bombs. Good news for Isaako is that practise makes perfect 😂😔

It was largely his off-field antics. He admitted in an interview that he hadn't been putting in as much in the back end of 2012, then he started posing with all the Bulldogs NZ reps to fuel his exodus rumours and then he supposedly made light of Boyd's ACL injury.

Well there is something new I've learnt today. Sounds like he was a bit of a wanker.

I hope whoever plays fullback earns it in the off season. Isaako has shown glimpses of a good running game and it would be handy to have him behind the play as another kicking option but he needs to show he can handle the rest of the fullbacks responsibilities and hopefully a bit more consistency.

If we end up losing Oates we are going to be spending a lot of time in our own half. Isaako's big boot is going to be helpful there

Mate I don't think Oates will leave, I agree with your post about Isaako. It is up to him to prove in pre-season and the trials that he is up to being given first crack and if he is, he has to show the form to hold the position.

Suli is about to leave for rugby. Surely the Storm will be after Oates? Replacing one giant dumb winger with another

He wishes 😁

Watching the 9s and Isaako is a stand out for NZ. He plays well in space and broken play and is stepping and knocking off defenders. I'd say he'd be a much better fullback than winger and as he matures his consistency will likely improve. I'm gonna back him. Plus milf has to go back to 6.

Pretty sure Holmes got messed around with a bit before he established himself as a fullback at Sharks.

Hopefully Jamayne proves that he really is more than a winger. Just like Holmes did. All we need Isaako to do is to put in effort (and confidence)

I think Bellamy is more frugal than that.

He’ll probably scoop up an off contract Gideon Mosby and have him running riot with Addo Carr on the wings.

**** it, give him a go. If he fails, then we just move on anyway. As I understand it, Walsh is the only prospect we have, and he seems a couple of years away.
