OFFICIAL Isaako released to Titans

This is really my only gripe with your stance/defence.

I agree....how was the rest of the team going? Admittedly up until half time......not too bad. After the break....FMD.

I seriously wonder just what your stance would be if we inserted Milford's name into this discussion..... instead of Isako.

Scrap that....I KNOW what your position is.
Huge: Milford has single handedly cost us every game we lost for the last 2-3 years...end of/
Actually, they weren't going too well if you're being honest. Gamble left a massive hole, try. Mead and the 5/8 Kelly let another one in with neither showing urgency. Our defence was slow off the mark. We weren't going well in defence but our attack helped us balance the scales.

Stop bringing in Milford, it just confuses the issue and isn't relevant. Again, I never maintained that Isaako played well and in fact he was poor. However, the real turning point, the initial claim by JAHHW was the sinbin of Robati. A game we absolutely were in despite Isaako was doomed AFTER Robati reduced us to 12. It's utterly insane to argue that a bad defensive decision or bad ptb was a turning point especially considering we were right in it up to that point.

Something to consider. Imagine Robati doesn't get sent, perhaps we win, who knows?

No argument from me. But despite all that, he's still one of our best. Let that sink in.
I think it’s hard to say without giving anyone else a chance at fullback. I’d probably drop Cobbo to get some experience there in Q Cup and in the mean time give Herbie, Mead, mmmaybe Niu, or Arthurs a turn to see how it goes.

Really iI think the club desperately needs to look externally for a fullback. Walsh and Hynes not working out for whatever reason is brutal. Not sold on Dufty but at the right price it’s better than nothing. There’s really very little options. Maybe make Slater the richest specialist coach in the league and have him do sessions with whoever he thinks is the best option at the club 🤷‍♂️

Perhaps Isaako doesn't let in one of the worst tries in history and then compounds his error by dropping it and burning a review and heads don't drop, Robati isn't in a position to defend and get sent to to the bin as a result of Isaako's drop and we win, who knows?

This scenario is more likely though.

We already have Lockyer, Hunt, Hodges and Boyd. Shouldn't that be a decent fullback brains trust? Looks like we might get to see Herbie given a go. I hope he doesn't get mauled if he fails to impress.

Obviously not. You’d think the same about Locky, Alf, and Walters yet here we are.

Which boggles the mind doesn't it. Milford and Isaako had very similar games one week apart but Isaako wasn't a big problem this week.
Eggzactly.......

I don't accept baseless unproven claims in much the same way you don't...when you don't agree with them that is. Momentum changed when Gamble made a terrible miss for the Saints first try. You understand how momentum works, right?

Obviously that's a baseless claim but it's as valid as your claims blaming Isaako.

The game was close, 24-18 when Isaako fucked up the ptb but you can isolate any moment prior and claim it was important but that doesn't mean it was. Once again I repeat, I've only argued that the crucial turning point in the match, the true momentum change was Robati being sent. Anyone who argues that some other point was the big moment simply has no understanding of rugby league.
No, you just accept whatever claim your brain has created this week instead. Can we isolate the try he let in before half time that no other fullback in the game would have allowed instead? There's a reason even the dumbest commentators say "if they can score a try before half time it will give them some confidence". The team was confident and in the game up to their ears until that exact moment, then to not only **** up a play the ball but then adamantly claim their was a penalty when he flat out dropped it and waste our only challenge makes it even worse. Let's not blame a bloke who has been in first grade twice in a far less important position.

If Isaako had any sort of support play, we'd probably be a very dangerous team. The number of times our props make a break and have enough time to offload but there's nobody there, imagine if we had someone like Tedesco or Papenhuyzen hanging off of those players?

That's my main issue with his play, he doesn't show as much effort as other fullbacks in the NRL and then we all know he is vulnerable to a bit of a drop at the back, he basically handed the Cowboys their opportunity to beat us and they obliged.

Isn't it named "captains challenge"........how the **** was Isako even allowed to issue the challenge in the first place.....?

unless for some fucked up reason Isako was the on-field captain at the time (...surely not)

Because Bro Glenn accepted to challenge it. Bro.

Come on, you know we have no captain.

At this point, would it honestly surprise you?

Yep, of course nothing could convince you! A narcissist is never wrong. The fact that we were down to 12 players isn't significant. A bad ptb is though!
Narcissist? Talk about glass houses.

And don’t misquote me either. I didn’t say it was the bad PTB. That was but one of his 3 clangers (4 if you include the doomed captains challenge) that contributed to our confidence being shattered and our middles having to defend repeated sets.

More than ever before, teams who hold the ball win. Conversely, teams who keep coughing it up get tired, particularly the blokes in the middle, and then make fatigue related errors (like TC’s high shot), get binned and get hammered thereafter.

The fact you can’t see this is happening right across the NRL only acts to weaken your already fragile argument.

Imagine blaming a 2 game veteran prop instead of the fullback who had one of the worst games I have ever seen
Who did that? I know what I did. I correctly identified the 'turning point' of the match. I didn't crucify the player. You ***** read the words yet apparently think they mean something else.

yeah, the 12 point turn around from us being 6 up to 6 down due to Isaako had no impact on that at all. Convenient facts much?
