The National Rugby League (NRL) has today announced the conclusion of disciplinary proceedings against Mr Isaac Moses in relation to his accreditation as an NRL player agent.

Following the conclusion of this process the NRL has determined that Mr Moses’ accreditation as an NRL player agent should be cancelled.

The NRL found that Mr Moses breached his obligations as an Accredited Agent in 2017 by procuring and assisting one of his clients, Mr Tim Mannah, to give evidence to the NRL that was false and intended to mislead an investigation of the NRL Integrity & Compliance Unit.

The determination found that Mr Moses’ conduct was in breach of the rules that govern the conduct of NRL player agents.

"Player agents have a very influential role in the game and with the players they represent. Where agents fail to adhere to the standards expected of them, we will intervene to take action under the NRL Rules. That is what we have done in this case after a thorough investigation by the League’s Integrity & Compliance Unit," said NRL Interim CEO, Andrew Abdo.

Under the NRL Rules, Mr Moses has the right to apply to appeal the determination to the independent Appeals Committee. The cancellation of Mr Moses registration will not take effect pending confirmation of any appeal. This means that if leave to appeal is granted his accreditation will continue to be recognised until notified by the NRL.

Doesn't he have most of the Broncos and the coach?

I wonder how long he has to sit out if he doesn't win his appeal.

the Orr brothers are celebrating ... they are about to get a whole lot more powerful

Is he banned from being an agent in other sports? Is there a risk he starts sending all his talent to union/afl etc?

So what did he have Tim Mannah lie about? Was it the dodgy cap scandal?

It could have been linked, maybe the NRL was looking to determine the player agent's role in the breach since the Eels were handed their punishment in 2016?

I'm not sure what reality Badel is living in ... but he is claiming that should Moses no longer be able to represent his clients (he has 9 Broncos on his books), then the club could potentially have to renegotiate all of those contracts with other agents

I highly doubt any contract has a clause in it making the contract invalid should Moses no longer be an accreditation agent ... more than likely these guys would get a free ride (commission wise) until the expiry of their contracts, where the renewals would be handled by a new agent

Yes, that is just absolute nonsense. It would not impact on the validity of the contract with the Broncos at all. As you rightfully point out it may well impact on the obligation of the player's to pay commission to him.

Isn’t Badel the Chief League journo for The Courier Mail? It would be like going in to hospital and finding out the chief surgeon was Sloth from The Goonies, would really make you wonder about the rest of the joint.

Random thought.... Isaac Moses manages 3/4 Of our team. Would people on here sacrifice risk losing 1 or young superstars and upgrade a lot of others but also be able to clear some deadwood/poor returns on investment? Or would they prefer no changes.
As bad a position as we are in experience wise, I'd prefer to not lose any of these young guys.

If it was to go ahead, it would throw some serious chaos.
Wouldnt be suprised if he went down kicking and let slip some of the Sydney info.

Absolute bullshit that his accreditation is able to continue whilst under appeal when players facing criminal charges are stood down indefinitely whether they are guilty or not?

Double standard at its worst. We can tell who has the most power in the game now.

The trouble is these blokes can write crap like this and half the average Joe’s who read it will think it’s gospel.
