Re: Mundine wants the broncos to sign ferguson! Thoughts?
Get it into your melon dude. Channel Nine chooses the damn draw. We don't and not even the NRL does! They paid $1b and they want the highest rating team in the highest rating timeslot. Currently that's us, so we get Friday night games.
So deal with it. If it changes and it may unless our performance improves, maybe we should whinge like you lot?
Awwww. We're a one city team? Just like Melbourne, Canberra, Titans, Cowboys and Warriors...
We didn't use to be. We had the Crushers along side us. Unfortunately the preponderance of Sydney teams were more important than expanding the league. But you know what? If you actually stop and think for one second, we were doing FAR better premiership-wise when we WEREN'T a one team city...
So how is being a one team city such an advantage for us, exactly? We did better when we HAD some competition...
You know what guys? I used to have a lot of respect for the Broncos back through the 90s and coming up through the first part of the early 2000's. In fact, you used to be our allies against the fight against the Sydney teams. But you have morphed into the new Manly or Roosters and are now the new darlings of Channel 9 with all your unfair TV scheduling and unscrupulous recruitment strategies. You also get this massive Third Party Deal development from being a one city team in a city of over 1 million. Its almost criminal the benefits you get (yet sill missed the 8).
