Had a solid combination with Peter Wallace, and used to chase those high ones from Lockyer and Wallace like a dog. Sad way for any career to end, particularly for a bloke who got there all on heart and hard work.

I must admit that i was a bit down on Jack over the last couple of years or so but when you look at the highlight video and you realize just how good he has been for the Broncos. Unfortunately his shoulder injuries were just too much to overcome. I hope that the Broncos put on some sort of special tribute for him at Suncorp on Friday night, i think that he deserves it and it would surely fire the boys up.

I actually made a highlight reel of Reed.

His time from 2011-2015.

He was a better player than what people thought.

It was better than Copley's..

This was one of my favourite times on BHQ. The day we proved Reed was better than Copley.

Reed has been one of my favourite players and I've never understood the criticism, the guy rarely made any mistakes and when someone else did it was always his fault on here. I guess there was a period where he wasn't passing the ball to his winger but you could almost pinpoint the game where Bennett finally said something at half time and a switch flicked. Seems like a good guy too, never heard a bad thing about him outside of the footy field. I'll miss watching him and I can't wait to see who the next BHQ scapegoat will be.

Poor guy being forced into retirement due to injury. I've always been fond of Jack Reed he was always there giving his best for the team and had some really good moments in a Bronco jersey. Can still remember that awesome try back in 2011 where he beat 4 or 5 Storm defenders on his own.

Congrats on your career Jack and we wish you the best in retirement.

It is no secret that i haven't been a fan of Reed since about 2013.

But it really is a shame that one of the genuine good guys of the game has his career ended in this fashion.

always gave his best, you could never have doubted his commitment on the field (how many times would you see him punching the ground if someone got past him?).

a shame to end your career this way but not many get to choose their exit.

he'll still have a more successful career than copley who will probably retire in 2 years with early onset of CTE (if he doesn't fix his tackling)

When he was fit he shut down many of the game's best centres.

2011 he was a revelation, came out of nowhere and looked like he'd been playing first grade for years.
