Jamal Idris has announced that he will return to the Nrl next year and has officially put himself out there to be signed.

would he be a good pickup for the broncos

maybe Bennet can get him back to his best form

No.

I do not want him at the club. Ever.

He is fat. He is lazy. He doesn't like being away from his mother which affected his performance at the Titans.

No to Jamal.

The second he loses some confidence he will say he wants to be a farmer in some far flung Asian country.

i always thought that Jamal Idris was a really underrated player and i think that if he came to the broncos wayne Bennett may be able to get the best out of him

He's the outside back version of Dave Taylor.

Maybe he has done his sole searching and decided the NRL is his chance in life. A hard pre season under WB would sort that out.

This.

He could be something special.

But, he doesn't want to put in the hard work. He doesn't want to completely commit himself and put in 110%.

Much like Dave Taylor.

I'm not sure either way. That's certainly how he came across during his NRL career so far and by his own admission he wasn't sure if he wanted to play football any more. But given he has taken a sabbatical and decided that his heart really is in the game I'd hope he'll put in 100% and commit to the hard work required to play at his best. I certainly wouldn't write him off yet without seeing him play in the NRL again.

If he's cheap, he is definitely worth the punt.

I agree and considering Reed seems to have one foot out the door and Kahu has never played more than two consecutive games at centre why not? He could be a top centre if he wanted to and he has shown definite signs of that in his career...even at Penrith. It also gives us a stop gap solution until one of our rookies is ready for grade. I still think we will need to sign a decent depth winger (or too) if Kahu is going to stay. Sign him on a 1 year deal with an option for a second and see what happens - no more than 300k.

As others have said, at the right price he could be a steal. Maybe this time away has got him in a better mindset to succeed. We need a center imo. Inglis would be fantastic, but i fear he is too expensive. I still think we are also more in need of a big impact forward as a priority.

Can Andrew Gee buy his mum a house in Brissie?

Too casual, too fat, no heart and clearly found it too hard in the real world...we need to move on from diamonds in the rough and Wayne turning around hopeless cases..this one is too far gone.

Am with the other boys... No thanks big boy...stay home with your mummy
