Jamal Idris ---> Panthers

It's only really a loss in the short term and even then, from all reports, the Titans were paying Idris a small fortune and had a lot of third party type deals tied into him as well which would have been a pain to organise.

He had a much improved 2013, but it still wasn't better than his first real year in the competition (2009) and he checked out of the competition before things really heated up and he would have really been tested.

If they use the Idris money to secure a good fullback and draft in a serviceable centre, they'll be better in the long run.

You're probably right. It's probably really going to hurt them this year though. If I was them, I'd start chasing KHunt like no tomorrow.

More than likely Jamal .......know any?

So have the Titans received any compensation or because it's not the Broncos no one cares?

Re: NRL General Discussion Thread

One mob is reporting that Mo Blair didn't show up to his hearing, and there is now a warrant out for his arrest.

Yeah didn't show hoping it'd get moved to the GC Magistrates. Legal team has apparently informed the courts he's handing himself into the police tomorrow (today)

Is anyone else as surprised as I am the bushman and papa bear haven't been in this thread to vent their anger at the panthers for getting a player on compassionate grounds?

It's a true mystery.

It's very, very, very strange. A strange strange phenomenon if you will.

I'm sure their concern for the titans is paramount.

Word around the campfire is that the Titans players are more than happy to see him go to Penrith.

Also read that he was having weight issues - he came back to training the same weight as when his form was at its worst.

Haha sorry mate hadnt seen the thread, think the more that comes out the more its obvious why the Titans agreed, it's suits them well. Lose an unpopular underperformer who is grossly overpaid and still has a few years left on contract, they saw an out they'd have been mad not to accept.
