I can't believe they have let Hayne off to play

Considering the judiciary had no problem suspending Smith last year (& I don't like Smith and feel it was our contribution to their choke), it is so ridiculous, anything to keep Sydney teams winning - again, the NRL looses more respect

I hate the NRL - tell you what if it was a Qld team Hayne played for, he'd be out for 10 weeks - what I'd really like is someone to come out and explain how he got off? But, as the judiciary system is flawed, with no use of precedent, its one great big circle jerk - why do any of us bother with this game - should move to NSW or Melbourne so every bloody thing goes our way - f ucks' sake!!!

He did everything he could to pull out of it.

Scotty - Nashy tag team!

You guys could dominate Smackdown with that kind of work.

He stillled with his feet/knees to begin with though. You can't defend that fact. Plus, if you consider what happened to Bryce Gibbs, it's nothing short of gross hypocrisy.

He was very busy while you were banned. I think it really hurt him, he had a bit of a meltdown.

On Hayne, I think it's ridiculous. I can't believe people say he "did all he could to pull out of it". He was on his feet when Goodwin was obviously going to score. He could have easily hurdled Goodwin and never made contact. Instead he slid to ground and his knee made contact with the head.

He should've copped 2 weeks just like Gibbs.

Shit decision.

BUT...I'm glad. I want Parramatta to have NO excuse when they lose.

they wont lose ...
hayne will b MOM ....he will score a hatrick.
Ryan hoffman will be crying again like last time ... [icon_razz1

I was watching Fox Sports News last night and they showed two similar incidents to Hayne's (Nathan Merritt and Bryce Gibbs). both of them the player got suspended for 1 week or more.

Hayne's incident was exactly the same as the Merritt one but he gets suspended. must be good to be the NRL's golden boy

Exactly he had EVERY opportunity to pull out of it. A guy who is lauded week after week for his freakish ability, agility, balance etc etc etc could have avoided sliding in with his knees - the try was scored before he slid. Additionally, his eyes were never on the ball from the vision I've seen.

Seriously I wonder if Gibbs and Merritt could sue the judiciary for their obvious double standards. And IMO the Gibbs one on Burt wasn't as bad as this one from Hayne.

I also think the Smith situation last year and the subsequent thrashing Melbourne got with him out may have also contributed to the very low grading to ensure there wasn't a repeat with one of the star players missing the game and their team losing.

I tell you one thing - this decision has set a very dangerous precedent for next season.

But yeah, at least there won't be any excuses.

Sigh - when will they do an over haul of the system anyway?

Vid ref system needs to be overhauled first...

/rant.

Shocking decision. If the right call had been made and Hayne was out, Parra would've lost 42-6.

Now that he's playing, Storm 36-18.
