So are people willing to cut this guy some slack?

Since getting over the injuries that hampered his early form Clinton has easily been one of our best forwards for the last month.

Many have called for him to be dropped, questioned why we signed him, called him the worst signing ect, time to eat some humble pie now that he is injury free and firing for us.

Yeah, I thought he has been getting better and better each week. If he can play more minutes, he could even reach the "awesome" stage.

I don't think anyone has realy put any shit on him in the last month...
Lets hope he can keep this good form up and inspire some of our other forwards to do the same.

You exagerate Clintons form, sure he has improved, should we have signed him NO, we should have retained Petero, imo.

Clinton made more metres than anyone in the match apart from hodges and utai today, i don't think i'm exagerating at all.

Well done Joel Clinton you have stepped up to the plate when we have needed you. Hopefully a few of your mates in the pack can follow your lead.

I agree, he seems to be the only forward really hitting it up with any vigour.

Clinton at his best makes him easily one of the better front rowers in the game. He's got a bit more work to do before he gets back to that stage, but i'm happy with his progression up from career worst form over the last year or two. He's starting to look more lively and confident out there now and hopefully he'll continue to improve into next year when we'll need him most.

666- The rason everyone was flaming him is becuase we all know the potential this former Test and Origin Prop has.

He has finally started to emulate what we know he is capable of. He has to keep improving however, I mean, he is far and away our best forward at the moment, but it's not like he has much competiton.

Put it this way.

Clinton - injured in round 1, and suffered another injury on his comeback. Struggled on his return for a few weeks but is improving each week and is one of our better performers.

Parker - injured in round 1, and has been an absolute slack heap of crap since returning.

I know who I'd prefer.

As one of Clinton's biggest detractors at the start of the season...and also midway through the season, I am more than happy to admit I was wrong in thinking that he would not improve.

The man has brought the offload back to our club! Not just any old flick it out the back only to have it hit the ground kind of offload, but one that actually lands in another player's hands to create some second phase play!

It's not like Ennis or Wallace are worse at goalkicking than Cam Smith, and Melb doesn't seem any worse because of it.

They are flaming a guy that got injured in the first game, then got injured on his return and carried an injury for a while. But that wasn't good enough, he still got flamed. Now that he is past those injuries and playing well, our best forward in fact he doesn't recieve the equivalent of a quater of the flaming he has gotten in praise. Hence this topic.

I'm liking the Clinton offload. Now that he is injury free and firing his natural ability is starting to come through again. Taylor should take note of this, because it's what he needs to do, keep it simple, get some form and the rest will come.

Without Parker who will do the goal kicking??? Wallce?

A bloke named Mick Ennis. Sure, he's about as useful at goalkicking as his twin brother is at hoola hooping key rings:

But he's been doing the job first choice for most of the season.
