Didn’t impact re-signing Flegler, The Love Bug or recently, Bullemor.

the love bug actually re-signed under Seibs (there was a big story about it after one of our many thrashing last year)

and maybe Walters was already sold on Flegs and Bullemore.

although i do have to laugh ... for the amount of whinging you read about our team on here, there is certainly also a lot of complaining that we haven't re-signed every one of them yet.

It is true but some players you can just see with some that they should have already been re-signed long ago, like Fifita and Staggs.

Riki and Dearden are two others who should have been locked up along with Piakura.

Why don’t you hear of youngsters or even genuine stars of other big name clubs becoming available all that often?

a couple reasons:

1. because we live in Brisbane and clickbait about the Broncos is better for the media's business up here
2. because we tend to have a bigger production line up here and the players managers like to use us to bump their clients value ... but to do that, they need media coverage first

when you get a new coach in, re-signings tend to be delayed (especially when coming off a wooden spoon season) while the new coach evaluates his team and decides what he needs. it really doesn't matter which team it is, who the CEO/GM of football/recruitment head are ... they're not going to tie a coaches hands by locking in players they don't want or deals that make getting who they need impossible.

we could have re-signed Riki, Dearden, maybe even Staggs ... but the trade off would have been that Seibold is still our coach

Broncs will re- sign him when his done and almost dusted

in his first season they only signed 1 player from a rival ... the others came from their feeder other reserve grade comps

Ok thanks....i dont spend every waking hour going through every clubs situations since 1908 like some do...if im wrong im wrong ..big deal.....one thing ill be right about though is that this club wont be anywhere near a premiership for at least 5 years

Yeah it shouldn't take long to turn the club around... if you do it right and have good management. If a CEO or coach claims its going to take 5+ years they probably aren't right for the role. If Kevin and the incoming CEO are good enough they should be looking at seriously competing in 2.

Im confident....considering we've only gone to 1 GF since 2006 and gone backwards rapidly i think its Winx like odds we are going nowhere near a GF for at least 5...maybe more

Noted....i wont be going broke soon so theres no risk.....may change my tune when the entire board is gone but thats a bet not worth taking

I feel for our lads. It used to be pass it to Fifita or pass it to Staggs. They aren't a smart enough group to learn anything else and now both of those options aren't there.
