Gillett will be the first second rower picked for Australia and Queensland, Papalii will probably come off the bench. Cuddled by Gillett? He is literally the last person players would want to run towards. Dude has put on more big hits this year than Papalii ever has (When players are running towards him, not away from him).

Two completely different players! The media have mentioned Gillette being one of if not the best 2nd rower . I'm not gonna say papalii isn't among the best , but he needs to be measured against players like taumololo , taupau , thaiday and taukiaho. Have you stopped to consider that maybe if Gillett hid on defence like Papalii did that he'd have more energy and opportunities in attack? I'd love to have Papalii on our left side, and he's probably who I'd select for Qld for that spot, although Cooper would be very deserving as well.

However, any comparison with Gillett will fall short by default. Matt is king of the 1%'s, almost always one of the first kick chasers, constantly harrasses opposition halves (when Blair isn't doing it) and has stopped more line breaks and/or tries from the opposition than most of the other Broncos put together.

With Hunt next to him, his attack has certainly suffered, but with someone like Cronk or Thurston feeding him ball, he's as damaging in attack as in defense, and his strike rate in a rep jersey proves it.

P.S. Why anyone takes @papabear seriously... is just mind-boggling. I mean using GH and LU as reference should tell us everything. Only the Kennel comes close to that amount of stupid.
