Sad news for the game we love.

That's just terrible news

Shocking news :( All from a head clash.

RIP to the kid, I feel for not just his family and team mates but the other kid who now has to live with this accident.

This is absolutely terrible and terrifying for anyone who plays the game.

I'll be interested to hear the full circumstances, and whether there is anything the game can reasonably do to mitigate the risk of a similar event happening in the future, or whether it was a freak accident, perhaps made worse by the player's own latent medical condition.

Thoughts and condolences to his family.

Also feel for whoever the other player was who clashed heads with him. I hope they're being counselled that they're in no way to blame for this. What a horrible thing for a young person to live with.

RIP Jake Kedzile. Very sad news indead :(

Terrible waste of a talented young human being.

Reports are saying he copped an accidental knee in a tackle.

Makes you realise how fragile life can be sometimes

I believe it was an accidental strike with the knee during a tackle... Just a horrible freak accident!
I feel for the family because I vividly remember how I felt the day my son was taken to hospital after a very similar incident as this. Fortunately, it only as a precaution as he was feeling pins a needles, and scans confirmed everything was fine.

I can only imagine what his parents are going through, and my deepest condoleances go to them!

RIP Jake
