The key performance indicators used to rate Hunt's AFL ability

RATING SCALE

1 - poor, 2 - marginal, 3 - good, 4 - excellent, 5 - rare

KICKING 4. Good delivery. Natural technician, beautifully balanced. Chip kicked well. Didn't look out of school with two AFL experts (McCartney and Buckley).

MARKING 3. Safe under high ball in league. Needs to learn marking with hands out in front.

HANDPASSING 3. Uses both hands well. Good instincts.

CLEAN HANDS 4. Used to having a similar shaped football in his hands. Has soft hands and fine touch. No issues.

BALL-WINNING ABILITY 3. Good upper-body strength, fearless approach.

PACE 4. Explosive off the mark.

ENDURANCE 4. Prepared to do the work. Magnificent shape and body type to play the modern AFL game.

RECOVERY/AGILITY 5. Has great physical and mental strength and a desire to achieve. Moves well.

DURABILITY 5. Rarely misses a game. Doesn't need to be physically developed.

LEADERSHIP/SELF-DISCIPLINE - 5. Leads by example, driven, ambitious. Inspires others.

AGGRESSION/INTENSITY/SECOND-EFFORTS 5. Without peer, gives 100 per cent on every play.

FOOTBALL CHARACTER 5. Fits into a group well, understands the ups and downs of professional sport.

COMPETITIVENESS 5. Has great hunting ability. Knows how to pressure. Fierce competitor.

FOOTBALL SMARTS 4. Excellent game sense in the NRL, can be fast-tracked quickly.

AVERAGE SCORE 4.2 out of 5

Pun intended? lol.

I don't watch AFL but just because Karmichael got a good rating from whoever rated him, I reckon he'll still stuggle for a bit. As he's mentioned before, he played a handful of AFL games back in high school, so he wouldn't have the AFL instincts that other AFL players have. I mean, the AFL players get hit left, right and centre, Karmichael is used to getting hit front on...

It will take a while for him to shake off his League/Yawnion instincts.

He might be a good athlete but he can't kick that well on his left side . He also needs to learn the game which will be hard coming from League and not having played much more than 5 games. Let him go now , no point keeping him here if we can't make the finals.

If Hunt's pace is rated 4/5, then I'd like to see who would be 1/5...

TOILET SEX 3 Little bit queer, needs to learn to not get caught.

He was obviously marked by someone who already wanted him. Kicking, pace, endurance and football smarts are all more than a little generous.

He got in some punt kicking practice last night. Went down the throat of the intended receiver.

He's no Billy Slater...
