Back on to Kevvie, what are the collective thoughts on his performance to date. I think that at this stage it has to be marked as a negative accepting that he has been handed a shit sandwich along with the most difficult draw out of all of the teams.
Unless there is a marked improvement in the second half of this season and a better start to next year I doubt that he will get an extension (or perhaps see out next year).
If Kevvie can manage six wins this year - and I think he will - I'd mark this season as a success. I would be harsher next year, though, and with the turnover and additions to the team he needs to get them clicking and firing early or face Seibold's fate.
I totally agree with the common criticisms here - team selection and bench management are the biggest problems, along with commitment and organisation in defense. I think overall there have been some improvements, particularly in attacking structures and very occasionally in mindset and mental fortitude, but there is still a lot that is broken and Kevvie needs to start solving those problems as soon as possible, and preferably yesterday. A reconsideration of his support staff may be in order at year's end, and a few changes there could make a world of difference.
I hope that the team can string a few wins together in the back end of the season, and get a bit of positivity in place to carry in to 2022, because building that up from scratch again is going to be a monumental task.
I'm still in Kev's corner, though, and I'd absolutely love for him to succeed. Hopefully the #kevolution has just been postponed a year.
