I really do appreciate your stance here but it shouldn’t become a Croft vs Milford discussion, they’ve both been poor and criticisms levelled at either would be pretty fair. I’d happily lose both of them if we had the luxury.

Yeah i have to agree with this, i think if we are going to return to being NRL heavyweights they probably both have to go.

That bloody Anasta was at it again on 360 telling all and sundry that Darius Croft is on his last chance and how he was terrible against the Dogs yet the video they used didn't show he'd done much wrong other than the single ordinary hospital pass he threw. I can find 20 of them thrown by Milford. ****, what an agenda. I'm thinking why not talk about how atrocious the Dogs are instead? At least the drunk called him out, rightfully so saying "they've just won their first game in almost a year and you want the winning halfback dropped".

Also on 360 not one mentioned the return of reinforcements in Lodge, Haas.

He just turned 20, so he's still got his nappies on as far as halves go. He doesn't seem completely ready for first grade, we probably won't even be able to call him a bust or a success until season 2023.

I’d like to see Kev put some faith in him, run him as halfback in training all week, none of this moving to hooker crap, let him cement his place in the team and announce him on Tuesday as the starting no.7 and work on his game. This minds games BS is rubbish. Melbourne doesn’t fear anything about us, why would they care who is playing 7?

I’d give Dearden the rest of the season to show us something. Next year, I suspect we’ll be looking for a new number 7 personally no matter what happens.

Croft? Bah. The Storm didn’t drop him and then release him for no reason. He is QCup quality at best. Fine for depth, but we ain’t going to win a damn thing with him as a regular starting half.

It’s sickening, this discussion of Croft, Milford and Dearden as to who is “best” as if any of them have delivered anything of substance since the start of 2020 when they were all playing for the same team...

He should, and that was probably the reason why Croft was signed in the hopes that he could play there while Dearden develops, but now that he's played so many games I can only imagine he's only going to want to play in first grade.

Totally agree...so similar to how druggie Johns kept harping on about us having Ferrari's in Haas and Fifita without anyone at the steering wheel - in direct criticism of Milf-Nikorima. He mentionted this during a bad stretch when they lost a couple in a row, then right after the Dragons semi debacle but totally disregarded they fact that they had won something like 8 out of 10 games in the beginning of their combination.
WB was terrific in totally snubbing their NSWRL media bs RE both halves then.
Unfortunately Seibold caved in to that media pressure and dropped KNik after listening to those dribblers.

Hope Kevvie sticks to his guns on this one. Let the kid develop in ISC, or come in only IF injuries to both experienced starters (+ Gamble).

Edit: Milf dropped the ball cold three times in the 1st half, yet not a pip squeak from halfwit Anasta.

I might be remembering this wrong but wasn’t Kevvie one of the bigger yes men during origin, I can recall the media call for whoever to be dropped and he did it.

As completely expected to anyone who watched him play before, Walker had an absolute blinder on his debut last night - in an extremely inexperienced spine. Other than Tedesco the other 4 players totalled 22 games between them - 5/8 15 games, halfback 0 games, Hooker 7 games, and bench hooker 0 games.

It hurt to watch for a few reasons, first being he could’ve been a bronco if not for the clubs mismanagement, and secondly because the roosters are such a well drilled team that 4 total rookies can make up 4/5 of their spine players and slot straight in and do their jobs.
I feel really sorry for Dearden when you compare the position they find themselves in.

Yup, what an absolute travesty. We had 4 halves coming through our system (Dearden, Paix, Tannah Boyd and Walker). As per usual, we chose the 2 duds. Walker looks like he is gonna be a superstar and Boyd has been very solid in his outings thus far. Paix? He is nothing but a QCUP player and Dearden is just another Carrigan (the only difference being he has a different number on his jersey). Over-hyped to the max but in reality both will be nothing better than average players. Walker is so young but looked like a pro in his first game compared to the meek and mild dud named Dearden.

That useless **** Nolan should be sacked just for the fact he fucked up any chance of us signing Sam Walker. Christ just how did our once glorious club turn into such a train wreck.

Was thinking last night that their 1-5 is likely the best in the league, and by a pretty big margin.

Also great watching the experienced players on the chooks all giving Walker encouragement throughout the game.

Our experienced players are the exact opposite.

Kevvie just has to try Dearden and Croft as a combination because either with Milford just isn't working. Let them start the week at training and name them early in those positions. Let Milford train with the reggies all week and if he drops his head in the slightest way send him off to Q Cup. Forget what he's paid if he's not performing drop him. Bellamy did it with Croft weeks out from a finals series and Bennett did it with Mansour after one bad game. Perform or perish should be the new mantra. Everyone has an ordinary game from time to time but often you can see by the little things they are still putting in but with Milford you can see he can't even be arsed chasing his own kicks.
