Can everyone please sign the petition for a statue of Locky? He deserves this more than anyone IMO.

Silly idea. I love him as much as anyone but you can't keep making statues. Why does he get one and Langer doesn't, Wally is the 'King of the Cauldron' hence why he has that statue. I wouldn't have a beef with a statue at Red Hill however.

Agreed, I can't believe how much Langer has been forgotten in the past couple of years. During his career he was much more popular up here than Lockyer. On the flipside, I believe it's fair to say Lockyer was more respected and did achieve more individually.

Yes, and the BRL deserves more recognition.

It annoys me how the NRL basically belittles a competition that featured some of the best players and coaches in the game.

Why? Locky's played more first grade games, won as many premierships, won more Origins, played more Origins, played more Tests, captained his country more than Alfie...

I loved Alf, but Locky has passed him.

I loved Alf, but Locky has passed him.

In addition to that, if you're going to have an Alf statue, realistically it should be at ANZ Stadium. Most of his Broncos career was played there plus his magical Origin comeback in 2001. I know he played a lot of Origin in the 90s at Suncorp but in all honesty he didn't have a lot of success during that playing period. His best days were at ANZ Stadium whereas Locky has enjoyed the majority of his success at Suncorp.

When I went to the game last Friday night, I could have sworn I saw a Peter Wallace statue, and it was inside the stadium. It was only at half time when I saw it change ends that I realised I was mistaken.
