THE BOSS Maguire Stomped The Naysayers! But...8 Months Later, Here We Are.

Always seems like the players are the rock stars and the club is adjusting around them.

Living on the Gold Coast and commuting to work, doesn't smack of dedictated professionalism.
Reyno to pick on one player needs a little tough love, the Bunnies likely got the initial offer wrong but with the passage of half a frickin decade might be a good idea for Brisbane to adopt a similar policy, if he wants an extension then put the foot down and make the club first and second, Dolphins look closer to a premiership than the Broncs as they have an improving star half, and we don't x 2. The B Hunt recruitment was a puzzler it seems. Staggs and Cobbo hot and cold. Melbourne can harness their Dheads, Munster.. and when they can't they cut them free.. Cheese. Broncs still don't have that backbone in their culture.

I hope they get the Haas deal correct, he's potentially a Fifitaesque anchor on a premiership squad if Brisbane bend over for his next contract, would be better casting him free to go all in for a player like Katoa.

Latrell.. What a collossal Dhead that guy is, that play at the end just sums him up :)

But.. how can you just not admire what a massive talent he is, he's got his tummy roll back and clearly not at peak fitness and he can still perform like that.

Let's stop with all this sack Maguire bullshit. He's a great coach and has barely been at the club, he's 1 off-season and not even half of the games of this year. I have faith he'll come good with the team he just needs time.

I live at the GC and I do the public transport commute to Brisbane.. honestly don’t see it affecting how they play tho.

I think this current team needs angry Madge. They need someone willing to be the bad guy to get the results. What even was the point of bringing him in if it wasn't so he could harden up this mentally weak team?

He gets this year and next, rightly or wrongly that's just how these things go for most new coaches. But if Madge fails after that I want the entire club torn down and rebuilt again. The whole lot need to go. Board, CEO, R&R, coaching, management, social media etc. The ****ing ball boys can go too, I don't care. I'm just sick of endlessly cycling through players and coaches and still getting the same results, when clearly there's just something fundamentally wrong with our current approach to success on the football field.

Injuries like Staggs missing 3 games out of 8, Mam missing the first 9, Walsh out for 5 weeks? Now Hunt seems to be out for a medium length. Goz broken arm?

Riki and Paikura’s missing 2 or so games
Correct however even without Reyno/Walsh/Hass/Piakura/Arthars in 2024 we started 7-4 with one of those losses against the storm who we almost beat without Reyno (2 points and a freakish try from coates was the difference). We have been without one maybe two players here and there to start this season and we are already worse than where we were this time in 2024.

More and more its looking like 2024 was the anomaly after playing some of the best footy we had played in 2 decades the year prior... Sacking Kev was a terrible decision.

These guys aren’t PT-ing to Red Hill every day.

Also I think some see it as a somewhat conscious disconnect from the club, not living in the same city.

Kev is a shit coach and even worse roster manager. Letting players go that shouldn't. 4 hookers in the squad, zero backrow depth or just someone even half decent in that position. Losing flegs, herbie and palasia and his answer is fletcher baker lmao.... complete joke.

He isn't solely to blame, but he contributed somewhat to our shitty roster balance.

Unfortunately 2023 is clearly the anomaly. 2021, 2022, 2024 and current 2025 has more evidence it’s our baseline.
We improved every year but 2024 under kev. It was definitely the anomaly and due to injury. Right now our 2024 season was better than this year and madge has not improved us. I can't think of one player who is better under madge. Our whole roster was in career best form under kev.

Shit coaches don't make grand finals within 3 years of a wooden spoon.

Rothfield has published an article about a conversation he had with Madge on Sunday, according to Rothfield, Madge gave him both barrels.

in the article he says " If only we could print the conversation. This was Madge at his angriest ... but sadly it was all off the record."

Rothfield the links Madge's response to Rothfield to how he talks to his players saying "if this is how he speaks to the players, no wonder he’s had falling outs at the Rabbitohs and the Wests Tigers in previous coaching stints."

finally after saying that their conversation was off the record, Rothfield then goes through everything they discussed (without publishing Madge's answers)

Rothfield seriously makes shithouse journalists look like Pulitzer Prize winners by comparison

Kevvie to me is a good coach, but he's not a good head coach. He's pretty average in that role and his record backs that up.
Sits with pretty unique company making an NRL grand final within his first three years as a head coach. I can almost guarantee that Kevball has given the fanboys on this forum the best broncos memories in the last decade at least. He did a good job as coach and I rate the 2023 broncos as one of the most enjoyable footballs sides to watch in history.

His sacking highlights the incompetence of our board and CEO. First sacking wayne. What a mistake and now we are the tigers.
