THE BOSS Maguire Stomped The Naysayers! But...8 Months Later, Here We Are.

Your idea that a particular trainer, or trainers, has limited merit. The fact that it falls to a trainer to be a deciding factor is a statement in itself. Clutching a straws, and an agenda mate.
With all due respect, what are you trying to say?

The trainer is not the deciding factor, he is merely pleading the Bulldog's case that Topine was treated fairly. I'm still sceptical over that and I'm curious to see what the facts are.

Point being, the jury is out there.

The people that are actually on board with flicking him, I have some questions.

Do you think that he tells the players to run wide towards the sideline, taking the 0.1% play over safety and support inside?

Do you think he is telling the players to not run up in support?

Do you think he is telling the players to carry the ball loose in yardage?

Do you think he is telling the players to not try anything different, just keep losing every single infringement count and be ill disciplined?

Do you think he tells them to go out there and do the bare bone fundamentals of rugby league incorrectly time and time again? I'm talking backrowers rushing a ball player leaving huge gaps, A and B defender chasing a ball carrier the same side the marker went, so that an unders ball is a certain line break every time?

Do you think it's intentionally coached that we are the most unfit team in the comp?

Do you think he trains our attack to bunch up, with no depth, get in each other's way and run 1 outs over and over and over?

The only thing you've got is that he is sticking by some of these deadshits too much, probably because he sees the deadshits underneath at training aren't any better.

I'll give you poor selection choices and bench usage, think that is a legit criticism.

If you answered yes to any of those, I truly don't know what you are watching, because it's not our games.

We need to stop sticking by these players, who have given us nothing but pain.

How many coaches do we need to go through before finally it's the players? Kev had us within minutes of topping off a wonderful year with a title, and how'd they repay him? The very next year they went to shit and knifed him in the back. Thanks for coming. They're trying the same shit now, because Madge actually knows how much work they need to do before we are any chance of actually competing again and they don't like it.

Unless you're sacking Madge and then also letting a rookie coach (that's all that's out there) burn the place down and start again, all you're doing is kicking the problem down the road. Why don't we actually for once hold the blokes that run on the field, accountable?

100pct spot on.
Before we even contemplate replacing Madge, at least give him the opportunity to build his own roster, then judge him.

The
By his own admission, he was not brought here to tear the club down and rebuild. That is not what MGuire's strengths are, that's a role you give to someone like Bennett.

He was brought in to get these highly talented players to work together as a team, but he has had the opposite effect.
These players are all performing worse than they ever have in their careers—every single one of them.

Nothing he has done has worked. His bench rotation is atrocious, and he has not brought in any of our highly-rated juniors.

For whatever reason, he has stuck with Hetherington at lock, even though anyone with a little bit of knowledge knows that it hasn't worked. This decision has forced one of our best-performing players over the last four years to change positions and play worse than he ever has.

These ***** have chewed through Bennett, they've chewed through Seibold, they've chewed through Kevvie, and now they're busting Madge's balls.

ENOUGH. The players are the problem, not the coaches. Clean. Them. Out. I don't give a shit if it takes 5 years of missing the 8. I want footballers, not social media obsessed princesses. **** that shit off to where it belongs, down the M1.

A players standing in the team, shouldn't fall to a trainer, or trainers, over the course of a players tenure. That is my issue.

The fact that it got to this point, say a lot.

I'm still not following.

How does that relate to Topine? Or to anything I wrote in the post you quoted?

Giving Madge this job was like Rafa Benitez going to manage Everton. Never going to work because of their backgrounds with rival teams.

While i would still give Madge some time to fix things, he wont get the same patience as Kevvie because he's not a Broncos legend, he's a NSW grub.

From the Seibold era there is only like 3 players left in the team, it's 100% the coaches, they pick the team the players are only there because the coaching staff allowed them to be, but I would be more looking at the parts of the football department side that hasn't changed in all this time.

If these stats are Patty playing worse than he ever has, then he is better than we ever thought.

71 mins
45 tackles
187m
44 PCM

Jeez, what a plodder.

If we're taking issue with the above, then clearly we need to be taking issue with the players that Patty is doing double of their metres and tackles combined, right?

Topine is arguing that he has suffered, mental and physical harm, as a result of tackling 35 players, in punishment.

I was arguing that, the fact that it got to this stage, is a club failure.

Topine is arguing that the punishment in legal terms, cruel and unusual.

This type of punishment has a history. It may not have a place in todays world, I would argue differently. We will have the courts decide, and the ramifications for league will be huge.

Gentle reminder Walsh has his first YT vid dropping at 8 tonight, check it out!

The workload should be more spread with other forwards that's for sure, it just seems like Patty and Haas are the only ones continuously asking for the ball, we need more players forcing their way into more hitups.

Well it reportedly wasn't tackling.

All we really know is that there is a lot of conjecture surrounding the situation which is why it makes it so difficult to use this as a line in the sand moment for the Bulldogs.

How does that have anything to do with an agenda?

We need a stronger more aggressive captain. Reynolds I really think might need to consider his future. Cobbo i don't think is doing the job out the back mustering the line.
Cobbo absolutely isn't doing his job at FB. He's a rep level winger tho, so let's hurry the **** up and get him back there.
