Kent said on his podcast that at every Broncos training there are reporters dedicated to writing stories about the club ... but in Sydney reporters only show up at the clubs training sessions for scheduled press conferences

Then he went on later to say we get a soft run by the media and that’s why we’re so fragile to criticism… seriously.

But seriously, this was always the concern with Maguire. Whatever happens from here, thanks so much for the premiership in 2025, no one can take that back but man it looks like 2024 all over again. Has the Maguire downward spiral begun?

I really don't know where we go from here. Either the cutting of the deadwood finally resets everything or we fall off into oblivion.

Losing Haas looms so large man.
 
If you're a good coach like Trent Robinson or whatever, would you rather coach at the Roosters where you only get positive media attention and are largely ignored if your team is playing poorly? Or the Broncos where the media is out to get you every day of the week and the players often have this weird toxic entitled feeling around them. Broncos might end up having to keep settling for coaches who are just desperate for a first grade job.

I think we're just at a weird spot where some player have played too many games, and some not enough (plus all the injuries). We were pretty lucky that we caught fire like we did last year.

Not playing finals this year will at least give us a full pre-season. He'll be under pressure, but Madge has 2027 to show us what he can do.
 
Pretty ordinary situation to be in.

You think after you win a GF, you can expect a bit of success, not always being the best team but being one of the better teams. There's nothing good about the way we play. We give away penalties, cough up the ball and yeah if we can get a 25 minute spell we can beat anyone but that's not really something you can rely on.

Teams know they just have to play a good 40 minutes and then bash us when we try to make our comeback, we will cough it up, we have all year.

Well we are looking like that theory will be put to the test.

I'm sure there will be a couple more offseason signings, hopefully something good and not Obelix tier. If Pezet lives up to it and Walsh and Mam get back to form I think we could still be up there. Would be great if there's another freak front rower that's coming through.
 
We will probably spend the haas money on upgrading Riki and…..oh I don’t know….lets say gosjetski.

This. Reynolds going off with a bad hammy is just a regular day at work, but now we've lost Ezra? Did HGR **** his foot again? The season is awful but acting like this is the coach's fault or a recruitment issue (okay, back-row notwithstanding), we have the tactics, we have the fitness, we have the players, they're just all on the ****ing sidelines!
