Flegler signed an extension in December 2019 he wasn't even off contract until 2020 but got it done to end of 21. Then in November 20 signed again for much less than the Titans, Dogs and Cowboys were offering until the end of 23.

The two years he was on bigger money were 22 and 23 which he was well worth as an Origin player.

While there may be legitimate reasons to pivot on Maguire’s tenure, I agree, broadly speaking, that at some point very soon (ie yesterday) the football side of the Brisbane Broncos needs to draw a big line in the sand and decide what it wants to stand for in the future and how it’s going to get there. A ‘no dickheads policy’ would be a good start. Even if that hardline direction creates some serious collateral damage to the roster in the short term, so be it, because it’ll be worth in the long term.
