how much has this bloke been paid not to be coach? we gave him a milly right and now $300k from manly... i'm a schmuck not coaching NRL teams for free and this bloke's getting paid millions to not be a coach.

He is amazing. He has made millions to be REALLY bad at his one job.
 
Just heard that Foran has been named interim... **** me dead the bloke was playing footy 6 months ago.

His apprenticeship is all of 3 months... feel like the poor bloke has been thrown to the wolves
 
Ennis last night on Fox. I’m sure, going by his tie .. he knew Seibold was gone and is putting his best effort in lol

Interim coaches are dangerous, they come in new message, all enthusiasm and revitalise everyone they win 10 games and everyone says he's a head coach.

Then the reality of having to plan 10 months and come up with new ideas after you've used your best and only five ideas see you crash.

The best thing for him would do his best/improve and then be an assistant again to the new coach.

Yeah its like walking into sides like Knights or Tigers when they are a shambles and trying to turn things around. It's not just the players or other coaching staff but the internal politics you have to deal with too.
 
So the SEagles have known Siebottom is not the right guy for ages and the best they could come with after pulling the trigger was...Foran?

They might be in a worse state than it appeared. Also makes the cringe reaction from the panel yesterday on Faux even more cringe somehow.

Manly look horribly run right now.

Even the timing for the sacking... they just came off a bye and then decide to sack Seibold 3 games in... seemingly with no plan on who the next coach would be.

It looks so rushed and they must be trying to line someone up before another team swoops.

I think the Willie Peters to PNG news yesterday may have sped things up... no doubt he was probably the one most teams were looking at, but he's off the table now, which means the available coaching pool gets even shallower.

Payten and cows the next domino to fall you would think

To be be honest, I think this is the way.

If his ego allows it, he gets a fair bit of grace as interim, then maintains continuity with the playing group under a new head coach.

Much like the Kevvie appointment it's a good chance to re-establish that club DNA, even if it's not a long term fix.
 
Makes me wonder if Manly paid the media to do a blitz on Madge and the Broncos to take away attention from this cluster **** of a club. I feel sorry for Foran, Don't think he knows what he is getting himself into.

Nah the attacks on Madge were all personal vendettas... Gordie through 360 and Triple M, and then his mates just jumping on it for engagement/clicks.

All of Sydney media seem to have a hatred for Madge, he must give them nothing as far as leaks or whatever that they can write about.
