McCullough re-signs until the end of 2017

It'd be rough on McCullough to rate the listed above him on current form. His influence on our structure is obvious when he comes off the field.

With all due respect, I find the the 'current form' qualifier really cute.

Friend returned ahead of schedule last weekend and really made an impact defensively, shutting down a lot of opportunities the Broncos had created and giving the Roosters more direction from dummy half.

I believe it's only a matter of time with him.

Segeyaro's form has fluctuated somewhat so I can see the argument but I'd say his positives outweigh McCullough's. There's no shame in it either, outside of Luke, he's the most dangerous hooker in the game and in Round 1 was certainly a contender for Player of the Round while I can't think really think of any other examples for any other players. It isn't like that game against the Bulldogs was an outlier either, he's made plenty of good plays since, it's just that he hasn't been able to replicate that great performance against Canterbury.

I'm obviously with you on Peats. Fine player but he's on even pegging with McCullough.

Unbreakable from BroncosHQ wasn’t super impressed with the re-signing of Andrew McCullough

I assume Wayne looked at the list of free agent Hookers coming off contract in the next couple of seasons and just decided that re-signing Andrew was the lesser of 2 evils, the only Hookers off-contract in the next couple of years who you would consider a class above McCullough are Nathan Peats & James Segeyaro, and they'll both be staying with the clubs they're at one would imagine.
