Meninga or Griffin ?

I'm saying anyone other than Griffin & Gee, both should be given the arse next year.

What's that you say? "but who comes in? come on put in some suggestions" - really don't give a toss, that's up to White.

Jason Taylor, good coach who had trouble with a player at an end of season piss up. He knows his stuff and is ready for another crack at a head coaching gig.

I want Griffin to succeed but it remains to be seen if he will. I'm not that confident he will at this stage. Meninga isn't an option and I'm not sure if there are any good candidates out there.

Big Mal has admitted himself that he is not a coach who specializes in strategies but more as a motivator which wouldn't suit a first grade coach. Hopefully he never gets anywhere near Red Hill (unless it's behind the bar). Hook was installed as coach to keep the box warm till Benny arrived one year later, when that crashed and burned, mgmt. decided to extend the masquerade just like the Fittlers, Colemans and Langmacks before him and he has been severely exposed. I would dearly love to see him succeed as well but the reality is that he hasn't and won't, should have never ever been given the position. He is a dead man walking, he won't survive past this season.

Look, why would WE even consider swapping Hook for Mal?!

Sure, he is a legend of the game, but he does not have the runs on the board when it comes to the weekly grind of the NRL.

Hook has a plan. He has a strategy. All he needs IS time.

Yeah, but Hook doesn't have any runs either

At least Mal has some runs on the board somewhere

I guess I don't really know if Mal is the answer, but I doubt it could get much worse

From what I've seen this year, this is a team in desperate need of some motivation

alright so my boss is going to the game tomorrow with meningas manager so im hoping for some info

Until the end of this season at least, I have faith in Hook (gulp :scared: ) and I hope the players do as well, but more importantly, faith in themselves and for each other

I have absolutely no doubt that the Broncs will turn up mentally for the game and my biggest fear is that the Warriors will too. I think any team, any team at all would struggle to beat the huge Warriors side if they are totally committed to winning. Yes it is possible to keep putting them on the deck but it seems the Warriors with their natural flair for second and third phase can overcome any opposition if determined to win. I fear we will compete very strongly for little reward.

My only hope is they come back from the bye a little too complacent and we jump away to a great start.

Wrong thread, sorry. For the record,No to Meninga, legend that he is.

Very true, hayseed but he's in paradise compared to what Ivan copped. Maybe following in the footsteps of WB came with a lot more scrutiny but I feel Griffin has had an easier run than Henjack. Watching those press conferences is like having teeth pulled. It's a variation of the following:

-

Journo 1: Tough game, Griff?

Hook: Uh Yeah um it was.

Journo 2: Big game next week?

Hook: Uh Yeah um it will be.

Journo 3: What did you like best about the team's performance?

Hook: Um Outstanding effort. You uh can't fault the boys' effort. Things just aren't uh working right now and we need to work uh harder.

How about working smarter? No wonder newspapers are going broke. Drivel like that winds up in it the next day. Ask him some hard questions, you nits!!!
