His passing game is below par, but he's ticking all the other boxes for mine.

Boyd running sweep plays, and just loitering on his side of the field in general, takes the pressure off of him but it doesn't give him the opportunity to showcase his passing game. Last season he was throwing excellent balls out to Oates. Wayne probably took that pressure off of him so that he could focus on the other aspects of his game that we needed him to improve upon.

A really good 7 is worth more than a really good 6 for mine. Milford is slowly becoming really good at being an organising half, it might hurt his running game (but not really, he still threatens the line heaps) but it would be way better in the long run. It's relatively easy to find a running 6, very hard to find a talented game organising 7.

Milf is 23. As a dominant half most don’t peak till late 20s. Already lost 4 years of his running peak let’s not throw away next 4 at a mill a year.

Maybe when he’s older Milf will be a ball playing 5/8 but 4 years into his apprenticeship he is still just showing ‘promise’ on and off. With KNik have 2 similar trainee running 5/8s essentially who couldn’t organise a chook raffle. As soon as forwards lose any sense of dominance team is lost.

While it would be great to have a superstar 7 it just isn’t likely realistic in next few years. Very few quality ones around let alone off contract. Don’t have the cap space for those that would be. Super league might be best option for a ready made one but not sure how much is there and even Widdop took time to handle NRL.

Three choices. Get a well rounded and experienced organising halfback or at least a Shane Perry type to tell the team which way to run (in which case need a Shaun Berrigan dynamic hooker I.e KNik) and let Milf be a running (and maybe kicking 5/8) without the organisation role. But Milf isn’t Locky so may not stack up.

Or accept Milf is a fullback who is developing his ball playing. Put Bird at 6. Still have halfback issue but in reality strengthens both 1 and 6 positions likely. But more room to play a rookie halfback given everyone else should fit where they are. KNik as bench hooker could be huge.

Left field. Bird to 9, KNik to 6, Milf to 1 and find a journeyman 7 or could still give a young bloke a go. Advantage here is Bird should be a strong defender in middle, good out of dummy half and probably more vision than Macca or KNik.

I think everyone knows by now that Milford isn't a quality halfback despite whatever slight improvement he's shown, and we would be better with a matching half there. It feels like there have been at least half a dozen articles about it this year.

You blind ***** it's not just Milford who played against the Dogs. It's 16 others who did a shitty job too. Everyone was lethargic & stupid. It's a team game quite often than an individual game & we sucked at it this round.

How many games have Shaun Jhonson/Green, DCE/?, Cronck/Keary, A.Reynolds/Walker, M.Moses/Norman, Bulldogs 6/7, Cleary/Maloney, Brooks/Benji, Townsend/Moylan, Widdopp/Hunt, Seizer/Williams, Munster/?, Pearce/Watson, Taylor/AJ & JT/Morgan have single handedly won games won games for their teams this season? It's more or less the same amount of games Milford/K.Nick have won for Broncos this season.
