It's a minute out of your life to shut up and pay tribute to the life of a person. Just shut up.
That being said, organisers should keep the type of event in mind. Not sure why Ron Clarke needed to be honoured at rugby league game unless it was on the GC.
He was being honoured because he lit the olympic flame for the Melbourne Olympics located at the MCG. A pretty tenuous link to a rugby league game but I guess the Melbsters didn't want to miss a chance to show everyone they had the Olympics before Sydney.
