Not to mention the nuffies I have left out. Of the list named, all bar about half a dozen have played rep football.

It seems that it isn't our superstars that need financial assistance, but rather the band of talent just beneath. How much stronger would our competition be if these guys were all back floating around, along with the international game with the Kiwis being particularly hard hit by defectors.

How many of them left in their prime? The majority of those left in their late 20s, generally when League players are at their best. You don't think the standard of our competition and clubs would benefit from having quality, experienced players around? I thought you would would have learned the answer to that question following our shocking start to the year.

Well we're all still here supporting the game we love even with those players gone. Not to mention crowds are increasing. So no big deal.

I saw Shaun Berrigan on Friday at Chermside with his lady and little girl. I thought he was overseas.

But, I also did hear that his father recently passed, so maybe he was here for his funeral.

I have no problem with players leaving for ESL at the back end of their careers. Blokes like Buderus, Hodgson just to name a few deserve a bit fo extra coin overseas not to mention the change of lifestyle and chance to explore europe.
