Name your top 5 Broncos

The notorious 5
1. Anthony Mundine
2. Martin Kennedy
3. Julian O’Neil
4. Matt Lodge
5. Ben Hunt

This is a tough list to write, but I'll give it a crack

1. Lockyer (the man, the legend), just edging out
2. Alfie
3. Hoges
4. Tunza
5. Michael De Vere

Webcke, Civo, Berrigan, Kevie, Parker, Brad Thorn, Sailor really up there with my favourites.
Of our more recent players, always loved JYY, Ben Hunt and Gilllett

I don't really remeber the 90s, but for 2000s onwards and what I remember,
1. Lockyer - The ultimate leader and captain and always put 100% effort in.
2. Justin Hodges - One of the main reasons the Broncos won the comp in 2006 and again another player who always stood up when needed.
3. Shaun Berrigan - Pocket Dynamo. I remember seeing him pick up and drop players like Willie Mason by himself. Absolute gun at hooker.
4. Karmichael Hunt - Everything he did for the club in his few years, absolute champion player and wish he never left.
5. Corey Parker - Got better the more he played and those last few years at lock he was superb.

Special mention to current players, Alex Glenn (again an effort based player), Payne Haas and Milford.

1. Paul Hauff
2. Scott Minto
3. Darren Lockyer
4. Michael Hancock
5. Steve Renouf

you've lost me...Hauff over Minto...for shame..!

ive watched Brisbane since the start, so gotta apply a 30+ year lease to this..

1. Langer
2. Lockyer
3. Kevvie
4. Lazarus
5. Webcke

4 of those arguably could end up Immortals one day...but yeh each one was absolutely essential to the GF success (and then some) that the club has achieved.

Lazarus
Webcke
Lockyer
Langer
Renouf

Honourable mentions to Tallis (the player not the media flog), the axe, Carne, Hancock, the Walters brothers, Cann (his first try in the 1992 GF was sensational - for a little bloke he was tough as anything and boy could he hit), O’Neill, Devere, Plath, Hauff, Plowman, Miles, Dowling, Wally, Ben Walker, Thorn, Currie, Civonoceva, Chris Johns, Ryan, Tunza and Boxhead Terry Matterson (played in the same season after he popped his shoulder in 1993, that’s bloody tough)

Forgot all about Gilmeister. What an absolute weapon he was.

If it was anyone else I agree, but Hauff is the man
People forget how good he was because he had so many injuries.

There’s a famous try of Wally’s from an origin in the late 80s when he runs around Jack....watch from the start of it....NSW had the ball and Gilly comes in around the midriff and the NSW bloke drops it. If people tackled like Gilly you’d have a knock on each set because everyone is a “two point” ball carrier (you see both points of the ball when they run) these days.

Indeed, he was outstanding in 1990 and 1991 especially for Queensland in the 1991 SOO series and made his test debut the same year for Australia. He had to have a total shoulder reconstruction in 1992 and from then on suffered a number of reoccuring injuries and it killed his confidence and career. He like Yow Yeh had their careers cut far too short.

won't ever forget that try he scored against Canberra in 1990 to win where he made Daley look like a statue with an amazing sidestep and beat belcher despite losing a boot.
