BASKETBALL NBA

I would have liked to seen Duop Reath play some more. Even with landale. Not sure what is going on there. Giddey continues to blow lots of bunnies. He was getting good shots. They dominated the paint scoring. Would like to see them get some more 3s up. But with the roster it is going to be hard to do that. Mills is just a liability at this point. Especially defensively. I suppose he is a threat from the 3pt line. Not sure why Ingles does not want to shoot the ball anymore. If they are going to play they have to fire them up when they are open. Alot of the other guys played well. They were really clogging up the paint which is the best strategy in international competition and 1 off games. Just got to hope teams don't get hot.

Thybulle would be the highest paid player in the side if he was there, right? Might have been left out for insurance reasons, maybe Australia doesn't want to pay that much if he's injured or whatever.

Interesting - I see Thon Maker has been named for South Sudan for the Olympics. There is a blast from the past. He must have only recently swapped to them.

Jack McVeigh to join Landale at Houston on a two-way deal.

Rumours that Magnay will follow as well.

Australia with a pretty comfortable win over Serbia. They didn’t have Bogdanovic but aside from a couple of runs, Aus looked like they were in control. The turnovers are an issue but Aus is playing an up tempo game, fun to watch.

Jaylin Galloway waived by the Bucks, so 12 players in the NBA this season now unless other changes happen:

Centres: Landale, Reath
Forwards: Thybulle, Ingles, McVeigh
Guards: Simmons, Giddey, Daniels, Green, Furphy, Mills, Exum

Luke Travers is off to the NBA...probably. Has signed a two-way contract with the Cavs.

There's been a bit of movement for here is playing where but the below should help keep track. That makes it 14 players in the NBA or likely to be being on two way contracts:
1. Landale (Rockets)
2. Reath (Blazers)
3. Thybulle (Blazers)
4. Mills (Jazz probably)
5. Ingles (Wolves)
6. Daniels (Hawks)
7. Green (Hornets)
8. Giddey (Bulls)
9. Furphy (Pacers)
10. Travers (Cavs two way)
11. Exum (Mavericks)
12. Simmons (Nets)
13. McVeigh (Rockets two way)
14. Irving (Mavs - well hey, he is)

Giddey in today's preseason game went from 1-11 shooting. Wowsers.

Bronny looking straight trash so far.

Aron Baynes retired.

Lonzo Ball played his first minutes in like 2 years today.

Kawhi's knee still cooked - Clippers are fucked unless Harden goes 2018.

Klay hasn't had a good start to Mavs life.

that's my recap.

Its all preseason though (other than Baynes), I wouldn't read too much in to form but just thought Giddey's shot conversion was crazy bad.

Bronny was never going to look anywhere remotely near NBA level. If his dad wasn't the superstar of the NBA and basically controller of the Lakers then Bronny would still be in college playing college ball where he belongs. Its actually an insult that he will no doubt get a spot on the team due to his fathers influence over an actually talented player who could offer something to their organisation. I would never had thought an organisation as big as the Lakers would bow down to Lebrons demands to have his son drafted

Alex Ducas made his debut today for OKC, so another Aussie in the NBA.

Dyson Daniels, Ben Simmons, Joe Ingles and Josh Giddey have all started relatively well. Landale and Reath both got limited minutes too.

Thybulle and Furphy have warmed the pine. I'm not really sure what happens with Thybulle from here, he has really fallen off a cliff sadly.

McVeigh, Green and Exum did not make game day, all injured I think.

Dyson Daniels played his best game ever against Boston, he's projecting to become elite.

Yeah, he already looks elite defensively, offensively a bit streaky, but hopefully can become a good consistent offensive player too. Looks better than Giddey IMO.

His steal ability is nuts.

Daniels backing it up with perhaps an even better game. He looks like he might be just about primed to be a superstar. Small sample size so far but very, very promising.
