BASKETBALL NBA

Well well well, among all the excitement of the Doncic trade, Exum is back after ages out...and he's starting.

Well Spurs just got serious - they've picked up Fox and him matched with Wembenyama is super exciting. Sacramento get a bucket load of draft picks and LaVine. I'm just really sure why the Bulls have gone for this trade but they have.

Definitely benefits the Lakers more than the Mavs. You can build around Luka for the next 10 years when Lebron retires.
Yeah, its as one sided as it can get.
The Mavericks window is pretty much just this year, and definitely they defensively improved, but Luka was 90% of their attack... and even if they somehow win, do many of their fans still forgive them?

The wont get past the top teams in the west let alone topple someone like Boston.

Yep they have to get over an older and more mature OKC who are smashing all before them, Denver who are still capable of pulling it out, the Clippers and a now suddenly formidable though not finished product Spurs. Depending on what the Lakers do now as well, they might even need to get over a Luka-led Lakers in their own conference and he'll have a point to prove. Crazy trade. Unbelievable they let him go for that deal when he didn't even want to be traded.

Seems like a real spite move against Luka to deny him that super max contract. I have a feeling he is going to shit on the mavs for the next 10 years now

And he is a guy that doesn't shy away in the big moments, he's pretty clutch. I agree, I think the Mavs will be made to regret this massively. It will be really interesting to see what the Lakers do now to build around him, they are very much a destination club again.

I'm hoping that Luka goes to the San Antonio spurs after next season. Not that I'm a fan of their team or anything, but he and Wemby would be such an insane duo, it would be amazing to watch.

There is absolutely no way at all the Lakers will do what the Mavs have done. He will be the marquee guy for the next decade.

lbj is really there only asset that is going to bring you back the talent needed to compete i dont think they have alot left in the way of draft picks

They have a 2031 first rounder and they also have a couple of players that could net them something in Reaves and Hachimura.

I reckon they would prefer to trade James too but he has a no trade clause.

I've heard ppl float the idea that LBJ should waive the no trade clause mainly Stephen a smith considering they arnt in a 'win now' position and he isn't getting any younger
